SAMS POV:

My eyes flutter open, adjusting to the bright light flooding into my room. I slip the covers off of my body and climb out of my queen sized bed. I walk over to my mirror and look myself up and down, taking in my look. My light brown hair, my blue eyes, my light pink lips. I stop looking at myself, and get ready for the day. After throwing on my tan breeches, a light blue polo and tuck my shirt in my breeches, I pull my hair back into a long braid down my back. I nod, and head out of my room. I grab a banana and slip on my tall Ariat boots. I stand up, and head out my front door. I walk down the path that leads to the side walk while eating the banana. As I reach the side walk and turn left towards the barn, as I always do, I check my watch and it's about 5:30 a.m. "Okay, I'm on time, maybe a little early." I continue walking down the road and take a left into the driveway of True North Farm. I smile, knowing that I've come so far thanks to my hard work here. I open the gate and slip through, and close it behind me. I walk down the dirt driveway and into the barn. "Sammie!" "Irene!" I say, giving my friend a hug. I release from the hug, and throw out my banana peel. "Okay, so we have to hay the horses, muck stalls, and when Marina and the others get here, we can have them do paddocks and stalls, and we cam feed the horses. Sound good?" I state my plan. "Yeah!"We head into the tack room, upstairs, and into the hay loft where we start tossing down hay nets into the trailer. After throwing them all down, we head back downstairs and jump on the ATV. Irene drives while I toss hay nets to the correct paddocks and the pony barn stalls. After we toss the hay nets, Irene and I spread out and hang them. After we finish, I check my watch. "Its about 6:00, Marina and the others should be here soon." "Alright, lets get the stalls done, and then they can do the paddocks." We hop on the ATV and Irene drives it back to its original spot. Afterwords, we grab pitchforks and wheelbarrows and head to the stalls. "I'll get this side, you get the other." I say. "Okay."
~~~~~~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm here!" I hear Marina call. "Marina take my spot, we gotta feed the horses!" "I'm here too!" Trinity says. She, Marina, Katie, and Abby walk in. "Take my spot, I'm gonna help Sam." "Okay." They say and take our pitchforks. By now we've finished the stalls and started the paddocks. Irene and I exit Boo Ya and Tux's paddock and head to the feed room where we put the grain into the correct buckets. "Okay, I'll get the left side of the barn and you get the right?" I suggest. "Sure, then we can grab the rest and feed the horses in the paddocks." "Okay." I say, and start feeding the horses on the left side of the barn. After we've finished feeding all the horses, Marina and the other girls come into the barn. "Done with paddocks." "Great! We can go ride!" "Girls?" We all turn and face Kay, the barn owner. "Can I join you girls on a flat ride in the indoor? I need to explain some things to you girls, and I figured why not do it while riding since today is a pretty busy day with lessons and all, and the lessons are all jump lessons so they are being taught by Mary in the outdoor." "Yeah, sure thing Kay. Let's do it!" "Okay." She says, and we all grab our horses, brush them, tack them up, and lead them to the mounting blocks. I get on first and walk into the indoor. I walk around in the indoor and Marina asks "So, Kay, what did you want to talk about?" "Well, girls... Sam, was talking to me earlier on the phone, and we had a chat. Sam, tell them what we talked about." "I think I might have to sell Little Bear back to Kay. I'm getting too advanced for him. I don't want to, I just need a better horse." "Yes, and she want you girls to help her find her dream horse." "A black, or buckskin mare, great jumper, comfy, great dressage horse, not too big, a little bigger than Little B, and doesn't spook easily." I inform, while picking up a trot. "I think I know a site for horses you can look at Sam." Katie says. "Okay, after the ride I can grab my notebook and you guys can write down places to look." "Okay!" I pick up a canter and Kay compliments me. "Great seat Sam!" "Thanks Kay!" I canter a few circles and then go down to a sitting trot. "After this we should walk our horses in the field." Trinity suggests. "You girls go ahead, I have to ride with Hanna after this." "Okay Kay, thats fine." I start posting in my trot and do leg yields off the quarter-line and continue that for about five minutes when Kay says something. "I have to get off Torrey and ride Archer with Hanna now, you girls have fun!" Kay dismounts Torrey and leads him out of the indoor ring. "Guys we can probably go out to the field soon." Katie says, transitioning down into the walk from a canter. "Yeah, good idea. Lets go." We all walk and I lead us out to the field. I open the latch and yell. "Last one close the gate!" "Got it!" Irene yells. I continue walking forward with the others at my sides and Irene closing the gate. "Thanks Irene!" Trinity says. "No problem!" Irene catches up to us and we walk our horses around the field for about 10 minuets. "Guys I think the horses are good." "Yeah, I agree." "Same." "Me too." "Same here." "Definitely." I unlock the gate and we walk our horses out, this time Marina closes the gate. "Thanks Marina." "Yup." We walk our horses to behind the barn and dismount. "Sam I have some places we can look for horses." "Okay, thanks Katie." "No problem." "I feel bad for Little Bear..." "Me too. He is an awesome horse... He is just getting a bit old, and I'm getting too good for him." "You're right. I think lesson horse will be a good job for him. He's gentle and is a good listener." "Yeah." We lead our horses to where we tacked up, untack them and brush them. We lead our horses to their paddocks and release them once they're in. "Let's go help Sammie with looking for horses." "Good idea Trinity."
