The day hoshi had been waiting for, was here.
"That bastard!" Yaga shouts through gritted teeth as he walks past the three.
Suguru had killed everyone who was in his mission, and sided with the bad.
He killed his village, his family.
He was banned from jujutsu tech; he was a wanted man.
"He's in shinjuku...KFC."
Satoru and hoshi went as soon as Shoko said his location. The two teleported, landing on a crossing lane, a lot of normal people minding their own business as suguru stood out, waiting for the two.
Satoru wasn't that trained in long distance teleportation, he pushed himself to be here.
And geto already knew this was bound to happen.
So now, he was cutting off two of the most important people in his life.
Two people who made him stronger.
Two people who didn't have the same advocacies as him.
A moment enough to break the three, at the smell of fried chicken at a street called memory lane.
Suguru decided to embrace his true self, there was nothing more to it.
Nothing more, nothing less.
This was a side that both satoru and hoshi hadn't seen.
It was a side suguru had been suppressing.
And now that he's let loose, it was everyone's problem.
Suguru and satoru argued over their own beliefs while hoshi was staring at suguru, dead inside.
She knew what was bound to happen, and yet, she was still hurting unwillingly.
Satoru was in a position to kill suguru, he was about to use his technique.
"If you want to kill me, kill me." Suguru said blankly before turning around to join the crowd to walk away. "There's meaning in that too,"
Hoshi extended an arm, hopelessly trying to play with time, but it didn't turn to her will.
She was still there, at the smell of chicken while suguru walked away.
She turned and saw the devastation in satoru's eyes.
His blank eyes.
"Why did you not chase after him?" Yaga asks, not mad, but rather quiet.
The sun was about to set, and the two students were at the school's stairs that oversees the field.
The air was tense everywhere the two went, they were choked up.
"Sensei, I'm strong... right? Or has hoshi replaced me already?" Satoru asks, dejected.
The said girl grumbled, denying the allegations.
She couldn't imagine the hurt satoru was feeling.
She couldn't imagine how alone he had felt.
"Yes, you are. You're full of yourself as well,"
"But I'm not strong enough to be strong alone." Satoru says with much resentment, making hoshi shiver.
Yaga left, and when the moon rose, the two decided to head back, both still quiet as usual.
Hoshi knew she had to go back.
It was long overdue.
She had her answers, she had to leave.
She didn't realize it, but satoru was holding his breath, walking beside her.
Hoshi looked so pretty under the moonlight to satoru- she looked like the prettiest woman he's ever seen.
It's been almost a year- 7 months- since he met her. And yet, the fact she kept on hinting she liked somebody else haunted satoru's mind.
He badly wanted to know who it was.
Because if it wasn't him, then he'd better start to move on.
But there was also something that ghosted in satoru's mind.
And there was no way in hell he wouldn't ask it now.
"Are you not from this timeline?"
The sentence made the girl stop walking, the sound of crickets making hoshi more nervous.
How could he catch up?
Was she too easy to read?
She didn't want to lie, but she didn't want to tell the truth either.
She can't.
Because it would affect the future.
But something surged in hoshi that made her pant.
"You once asked what was I willing to do,"
Grabbing his sunglasses, hoshi placed it in her face, pushing it up to make it a headband before placing her hands on his shoulders.
"I'm willing to kiss it better."
And she did.
And for the whole 18 years of being alone, satoru gojo didn't feel alone anymore.
