Izzy had a hard time picking out an outfit the next morning. She wanted to impress her teachers but not go too overboard. She ended up having to call her friend Jihoon. He was known for his good fashion sense.
"Class starts in a half hour you better hurry," Jihoon was in the same university as her, but he decided to live at home while he was in school for financial reasons.
"Yes I know." She groaned, snatching her bag from the ground and her keys from the kitchen counter. "I'm leaving right now."
"See you soon girly." Jihoon blew a kiss at her and hung up the phone.
Jihoon and Izzy met when she moved to korea. Jihoon always had a feminine side to him and because of that he was picked on. Izzy decided to befriend him and after that, nobody dared to mess with them after she punched a kid in the nose and broke it. They became the inseparable duo who nobody ever spoke ill about, unless you wanted to meet the wrong side of Izzy. It was freshman year of high school that Jihoon came out to her, and found his soulmate not longer after his 16th birthday. He found it in 18 year old Soojung. They waited two years to actually be together and now they're happily dating. It didn't take long for the duo to turn into a trio after that. Soojung was the reason they both applied to the University of Seoul.
Izzy made it to her class with two minutes to spare. Most of the chairs were taken but she found a decent place at the back of the class. About 3/4 of the class was male while the other 1/4 was female. Izzy chose not to focus on that and instead pull out what she needed for the class.
"Good morning students." A teacher in her mid to late 50's entered the classroom. "My name is Mrs Kim and I will be your Life Science professor. Let me take role and we will get started going over the syllabus."
She went down the line of names, and Izzy shifted as she waited for her own.
"Jung Hoseok."
Come again?
Izzy had never looked around so fast in her life. Did she hear correctly?
"Here."
A male, about four rows down from her. His smile was bright and happy, and he seemed to radiate happy energy. His brown hair was fluffy and light. She suddenly felt like she was going to puke.
Was it really him?
"Bailey Isabella."
She would never get used to having her last name come first.
"He-here." She cursed herself for stuttering, but her brain was having a hard time processing. One of her seven were here.
When she looked back down, she found him looking at her too. His eyes held astonishment, and shock. He was even more beautiful now that he faced her fully. He searched every inch of her that he could see, before his attention was demanded to the front once again.
The syllabus was like any other, and most of the students slept or messed around on their phones. Izzy sat with her leg bouncing, her eyes finding the back of her soulmates head quite a bit. A few times she caught him half turning his head, before he caught himself and would turn back to the front again. She wished he would turn around so she could look at him again.
"Well, looks like we're done about 45 minutes early. You may take this time to sit and do nothing or leave, it is up to you." Mrs Kim motioned them on.
Izzy did her best to pack up as quick as possible, hoping maybe she would get to talk to Hoseok. By the time she was done, she managed to look around and find him gone. There was no trace of him. She let out a breath, her shoulder sagging and her heart breaking.
She held in her tears, knowing if she cried her make up would be ruined. She instead grabbed her bag and left the room, texting her two friends to hopefully find one of them. Soojung was in the cafe inside of the university and she didn't waste a second when he invited her to join him.
Hoseok made his way to the lounge where he knew some of his soulmates would be. He was freaking out internally, hands shaking and mind calling him stupid. He shouldn't of ran out, he shouldn't of ran away. Why did he do that?
Namjoon, Jungkook, and Yoongi we're in the lunge when he arrived. Namjoon was the first to notice him and stood to wrap his distressed soulmate in his arms. Hoseok melted in his arms, still feeling his heart about to jump out of his chest.
They waited for him to calm down, before Namjoon led him to sit next to him and Yoongi, and Jungkook moved to sit on the coffee table in front of them.
"What happened, baby?" Yoongi gently rubbed his hair. Hoseok groaned, burying his head into his hands.
"I saw her, I saw Isabella."
Silence enfolded the four for a few seconds.
"You saw her?"
"She was in my life science class. The teacher was doing role and I heard her name and she said here. It's her I can feel it." He shook his head. "And like an idiot I freaked and left before we could talk."
As much as the three wanted to call him an idiot for it, they understood. They gave up hope that they would find their missing puzzle piece, it was only natural to freak out once you do.
"It's okay." Namjoon kissed the side of his head. "We can find her again. You can try and talk to her again on Wednesday, yeah?" Hoseok nodded, leaning back into Yoongi's arms. The sleepy male wrapped his arms around him, holding him close and whispering reassurance in his ear. Yoongi wasn't one for affection, but he needed it in that moment.
