Crack! A ball hit into out field
Flying past every player like a jet
Over the stadium wall without a shield
Screams and hollering as you round third
It was the only thing to be heard

Going in the dug out felling proud
You walk and put your helmet down
wanting cheers to continue from the crowd
Then 3rd out you make for the field
Running to first base feeling not loud
Yet quite for you await the outs

PING! the ball is cracked down third
Third baseman fields the ball
And fires it to you skyward
You get on the bag and keep it from falling

Innings later you feel weak
Yet you keep on pushing it
Cause you've got to reach the peak
Win, for my team is all you think
Sweat, bruises, and exhaustion
You won't let them down even of you stink

It's all over you have won
All thanks to hard work
You enjoy the feeling a ton
You want to home and sleep
Yet savor the fun
Because you will go on in the future enjoy it while it last
