A gentle rustle of leaves and foliage could be heard accompanied by the soft winds of the Black Shroud, trees swaying his above the forest floor. A ferry had recently arrived at Sweetbloom Pier, which in itself was not uncommon, as many came and went between Gridania and East Shroud. On this day, however, and Adventurer would arrive who would soon change the very fate of the star.

The one who would eventually be come to known as the Warrior of Light had been sent to East Shroud to parley with the Sylphs who resided there, as the Scions of the Seventh Dawn worried that they too might see fit to call upon a primal as the Amalj'aa had a short while ago. The path to Little Solace, a small settlement established between the people of the Shroud and Sylphs, was just beyond Hawthorne Hut, which the Adventurer needed to visit to learn more about the strange beastmen and their ways. As they made their way towards the aetheryte, though, a voice filled with a cheerful tone called out to them mere yalms from the massive crystal.

"Oi, you there! You're a new face 'round these parts." the voice called out. The Adventurer turned towards one of the tents set up around the hut to see a rather usual sight: a male Viera. While such a people were becoming gradually more present over the years, it was still an odd sight. Unlike the women, men were often confined to the deepest part of the wood, acting as unseen protectors of the lands they inhabited. With the Garlean Empire slowly expanding and claiming lands all over the world, it was only natural some would be forced to flee their homelands and come to find a more peaceful existence elsewhere, even across the seas in Eorzea.

"Come on, I don't bite, less of course you want me to." The Viera added, though he gave the Adventurer a shrug once he saw the hesitation in their face. "I only jest, friend." The Viera then gave the Adventurer a smile and bow. "Kaine Huorlwesfv, at your service."
