Telepathy. That word meant nothing nothing me. Only connection. Without seeing I could feel the room. Sensory perception beyond anything I could've ever comprehended before hand. The security cameras were still in my grasp. Floating before the window while the lab coats watched and moved identically to eachother. Another thought was projected, "Again"
I grasped the screws on the security camera feeling every texture and exposed groove; willing them to turn from my restraints. They put up little resistance. Suddenly, like flames my mind burned and a wave of fury flooded me. I felt as the long sharp screws suspended in mid air turned on hundred and eighty degrees to face the lab coats. Then as each one was shot towards cracking like a whip as it went. The first screw hit the glass with a loud thud and penetrated the full depth embedding itself within while the glass cracked around the wound. I could feel their hearts, getting faster, getting hotter. An intoxicating smell filled my nostrils... fear. The second screw was fired like a missile flying even faster than its predecessor, the tip even turned crimson from the heat but this didn't miss its mark. Bang. It shot straight through the window hitting the scientist right between the eyes. Blood poured in a neat stream down from the wound off his nose dripping onto his chin. He promptly feel to his knees and collapsed on the floor. The burning fury in mind got hotter. A tempest of emotions and I could feel everything. The vigour of the violent convulsions of the chair I was restrained to as it became freed from the ground and was lifted into the air by my newfound ability. The rising of debris as it swirled around me by my command like planets orbiting a sun. The other scientists tried to run but I held them. I could feel their thoughts. They were black and red. Death. Despair. Most importantly, that oh so deliciously intoxicating fear. The window gave way completely, shattering into such tiny fragments as I slowly approached suspended in my restraints. The chair was now through the window and It approached the ground, my restraints undoing themselves before their very eyes. The florescent lights flickered violently as I desired and my bare feet had touched the ground. They hadn't cared enough to properly clothe me. Their experiment. Getting a closer look I could see the perversion of nature before me. The two remaining scientists were completely identical. Even so was their dead comrade. They even shared identical thought patterns, as if they were the same person happening three separate times. I approached the first scientist and stared him deep into the eyes. He looked back into my black pupil's and found himself lost in them. The sweat, the flush redness in his face. I could hear his heart from outside. What if I? I felt hard and squeezed on his heart with force. Its tough walls caving in to my strength. His eyes filled with blood as the blood vessels burst and blood also poured from his mouth. I held him by the heart until it stopped beating and let his lifeless corpse flop to the concrete ground.
The third one had too much to say for himself. Begging, pleadings weeping. Of course its all noise to me. I have a limited comprehension of their language. I know my name, even dogs can respond to their name. "I-am-5!" I growled. I stared at the third scientist, then realised, there's one missing. I wasted little time with this one. He too was lost in my eyes but then I felt something. Hunger. His mind smelled tasty. Lucky me watched as his eyes drained of colour. My belly became increasingly satisfied and the burning in my brain began to subside. The scientist flopped to the ground drooling. He was alive, but there was nobody home. I made sure of it.
I was able to finally see myself for what I was. 7 feet tall, incredibly pale and skinny. So skinny. I shouldn't be alive. The burning in brain passed slightly and my mind was clear. I'm capable of thought. Pressure began in my back; four great tendrils hidden under my skin desperate to escape. In tremendous pain I screeched as the tendrils ruptured through my back and they were visible. There was no blood and I beheld my reflection staring at awe at the four newly acquired limbs. Two were held above my shoulders and I observed in my reflection as I waved them around with ease. They're strong and deep black. The lower two tendrils hang naturally about my lower back. The pain quickly subsided and I was me.
