Here's a new story, this time an original story. This is something that is very close to my heart, so I'm really skeptical about publishing this. It would kill me if no-one loves this, and I might just take it down.

Also, this is fully written and I'm thinking to update once every week. It's moderately long, with more than 60k words. The chapters would be longer too, with each one in the range of 4k-6k.

Please let me know what you think, especially the science, because let me be honest, I'm a bio major. And, please comment, I live for validation.

PART - I A - YOU'RE OKAY

This was the best day of his life.

Granted, he was only sixteen, which was considered to be very young according to the general consensus, but Parth was sure that it would take a lot to beat this. He can't believe that he was actually on a visit to Magma, one of the leading tech companies in India, second only to Goenka Industries. It had no a long time since he had been this excited, almost two years to be exact. But he didn't want to think about that now.

When Parth had found out that their field trip would actually be to the Magma, he had let out a very childish and arguably embarrassing squeak. There was a chance that his whole class had heard that, leading to Parth turning as red as a tomato. Savita Mam had rolled her eyes in amusement, used to how excited Parth got when it came to science. Everyone else had snickered, Hemant had even muttered 'dork' under his breath, while Michelle rolled her eyes.

But Parth hadn't cared about any of them, he had tried to sneak a glance to his left, where Geetanjali Sanjay sat, hoping against hope that she hadn't heard him, which to be honest was kind of stupid of him, because he had been very loud and she was sitting in the closest chair to him. His hopes were dashed, like snow in the sun heat, when he caught her grinning too. That had made Parth vow to himself to be extra careful on the trip to make sure he didn't do anything embarrassing, especially since he knew that Geet interned there and probably knew all the super important people.

Speaking about super important, they were now entering the R&D lab of the Molecular biology department inside the Biochemistry department. How cool was that? They had a department inside a department. This was what he was most excited about, because Molecular biology was his favorite. And maybe also because this was the department where Geet interned. Wait, was his favorite science her favorite science? Should he ask her about that? He sneaked a glance at her and there she was. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail and she eyes were lined with kohl, and she was chewing on the top part of her pen, looking deep in thought. He didn't know how she looked this pretty in the boring standard uniform they wore though.

Parth felt someone nudge him in the ribs and looked up to see Hemant staring at him with an exasperated look.

"I know she's pretty, but could you please stop gawking and walk."

That was when he noticed how far he had fallen behind. Hemant, bless his soul, had brought him back to earth.

"Oops." He muttered, walking faster.

"Just ask her out, you've been mooning after her for three years. "

"Yeah, I could do that. Or... I could do literally anything else that wouldn't make me look like a fool."

Hemant rolled his eyes.

"Please, she's almost a big nerd as you are. And all of us go to the biggest nerd school in India, so that's really something."

"That's the thing you see. When someone like me is smart, he's a geek. But if someone like her is smart, she is gifted. I mean come on, she's in a totally different league from me, you know."
