These soft days we had to fight for.
One month
Parth smiled sheepishly at Sam who sat across on the couch from him. Michelle sat next to him, her leg which was still in a cast was perched up on Parth’s lap.
“So yeah, I was a jerk and there’s really no excuses for that. I was just really jealous and acted like an asshole. I’m really, very sorry.”
Sam to his credit, didn’t blink.
“Just so you know, I was just visiting her as a friend.”
“Yes, like I told you, I have no excuses.”
Michelle snorted from next to him.
Sam smiled crookedly.
“That’s okay. Just remember that you owe me one, future CEO/boss. I’ll take my apologies as raises or bonuses.”
Michelle smiled amusedly while Parth groaned.
“Now I get why you’re friends with him, Mish.”
Sam laughed, clearly at him. Parth would be offended, but Michelle was laughing too and her eyes were crinkled at the corners and her face was lit up brilliantly. And Parth figured he didn’t mind the laughter at his expense, as long as Michelle was laughing too.

“I can’t believe that out of the three of us, he’s the one who got married first.”
Michelle said, pointing towards the stage where Hemant sat with Natalie, lost in their own world.
Parth snorted.
“I know right. He also had the longest relationship out of us too. They even went long-distance for a- wait, what do you mean?”
Michelle turned his gaze towards him. She looked beautiful dressed in a baby blue bridesmaid’s dress. Parth remembered seeing her walk towards him in that dress and forgetting how to breathe.
“I meant, that I thought you would marry first. Obviously, not Hemant.”
“What about you?” He frowned.
Michelle smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes.
“I didn’t think I would ever get married.”
“Yeah, but-“ He hesitated for a bit. “That was before, right? Because now, you do want that right? I mean not now, of course, but in the future maybe… well.”
Parth trailed off as Michelle started to smile again, and this time it reached upto her eyes filling them with light.
“Are you saying that you want to marry me?”
Parth could feel the blush spread. He refused to back down though.
“Maybe I am.”
Michelle’s smile grew brighter for a moment, before she cocked her head in mock seriousness.
“I don’t know. You watch cartoons.”
“Please, you love Phineas and Ferb.”
“And you drink green tea.”
