[Better]

1- Welcome to Hogwarts

I was awoken by the sudden coldness around me. I quickly sat up and looked to my right to see my brother, Austin. He had pulled my blanket off of me and was now holding it flickering the overhead light. 

"Come on Amery, You start at  Hogwarts today." He says

"Yeah, I know that." I rolled my eyes and began to get ready as Austin threw my blanket back onto my bed and left down the stairs. 

I looked at myself in the mirror. I get to start Hogwarts today. I smiled at myself as I tried to tame my long curls, which I knew I would never fully be capable of doing. 

I bounced down the stairs so I could start to load my trunk into the car.  

Austin, my dad, and I made it to the platform 9 3/4. My dad, James told my brother to go first so I could, "See how It's done," 

Austin, pushing all of his belongings, ran full speed at the wall and passed right through it. 

"Alright, you go now." My father smiled 

I turned towards the wall and began to rush through it. When I appeared on the other side I looked around to see loads of kids, some wishing their parents goodbye, some rushing to greet friends. I stepped near my brother, not knowing what to do. A few moments later my Dad's arms were wrapped around Austin and I. God, I'd miss him. 

He pulled away and looked at us "Alright, It's time for me to go. Austin, I'm trusting you to keep an eye on your sister," Austin nodded

"And Amery, You're going to do great." He smiled, "And I'll be happy with any house you get put into. I'm sure you'll do wonderfully in any of them." 

"Bye, Dad." Austin waved as we boarded the Hogwarts express.

Austin pulled me through the train until we finally found an empty compartment.

We sat in comfortable silence as the train started to depart. After a few minutes two red-headed boys pulled the door to the compartment open. 

"Austin!" they said in unison, "We've been searching the whole train for you." One of them laughed

"Hey, Fred! Hey, George!" He responded 

"Who's this then?" One asked as they both took a seat

"I've told you about her. This is Amery." Austin said

"Well then, I'm George Weasley." the one sitting next to me said as he reached out his hand to shake mine 

"And I'm Fred Weasley." the other said shaking my hand as well. 

"Nice to meet you both," I say to them 

"So, what house do you think you'll be placed into? Maybe you'll be a Gryffindor, like us." George asks

"Or a Slytherin like your good ole' brother over here," Fred says pointing his thumb toward Austin 

"I'm not sure what house I'll be put into. I'm okay with any honestly." I say

Both twins nod and start to grill Austin on how his summer break was. 

I stayed quiet for the majority of the ride until George tells me that we were approaching the school and I should look out the window.

I lean over to see the school and I see a castle

"that's the school?" I ask

"The one and only. " Fred answers

"Awesome," I say

We arrive and the first years are informed that we will be taking boats to the school instead of the carriages that the others take.
