As the weeks at Hogwarts pass, I become closer and closer with Willow. She is honestly my best friend here. I've also begun studying with Hermione Granger because, as it turns out, we both care a lot about academics. Hermione is phenomenal. She has just now entered the wizarding world and has already learned so much.

Willow and I have also started to talk more to Theo and Blaise, and most of the time Draco and Pansy tag along but don't say much.

The fall months at Hogwarts fly past and soon it's time for some of the students to head home for Christmas. I love Hogwarts don't get me wrong, but I'm so excited to see my dad.

On the Hogwarts express, I sat with my Slytherin friends. We chat about what our family holidays look like and how happy we are to see our families.

The train finally comes to a halt and I quickly leave the train searching for my father in the crowd of parents and students.

Finally, I spotted him and ran to him. He engulfed me in a hug and Austin joined us.

The holidays pass fast and soon it's time to get back to Hogwarts. Harry Potter, Ron Wesley, and Hermione had gotten into a bit of trouble with a troll I heard and since have been growing closer.

I've also found to like the Astronomy class the most in my time at Hogwarts. But overall I have been doing very well, I am second in most of my classes (Behind Hermione of course) And Draco seems to really hate that about me.

As the year progresses I end up growing closer with what is now known in Hogwarts as the "Golden Trio," Harry, Ron, and Hermione really seem to be great people. Hermione and I quiz each other on almost every subject, Ron and I end up speaking about our brothers quite often and Harry and I are the closest out of all of us. Harry is a wonderful guy with a good sense of humor so it just works.

I sit on my bed flipping through the pages of my book when Willow breaks the silence in our shared room.

"Hey Amery, can I ask you something?" her gaze fixed on the fairy lights I have wrapped up the four posts of my bed

"Of course, Wil, what's up?" I look up from my book

"Do you like the golden trio more than us?" she asks

I push my glasses up on my nose, "Um, not necessarily. Why does it seem that way?"

Willow walks over and sits on the foot of my bed, "Well, I mean you spend more time with them than the Slytherins. I mean I don't really blame you because some of us suck but I don't know I thought I would see you more than I do. y'know?

"Oh! I'm sorry you're right, I have been kind of abandoning you. I really have not thought about how you would feel about this. I will try to balance my time more. I'm sorry," I say

"Thank you. It's so hard to get along with everyone without you." she laughs

"Oh, I get it," I laugh with her.

After that conversation with Willow, I began to try to spend time with the Slytherins more. They really weren't all that bad. Blaise and Theo are super funny and WIllow and I seem to match their energy perfectly. Draco and Pansy still hang around but they're quieter unless it comes to money, blood status, or making fun of my friends.

"God Harry Potter has to be the most insufferable person I have ever met. Ever." Malfoy rants

"Oh my god Draco and you stop talking about Hary for like two seconds. you seem obsessed." I interject

"Shut up Amor you're only saying that about you're like in love with him or something." Draco says and pansy laughs

"Me?! Seeing that you talk about him at least five times a day I would think you're the one in love," I laugh

"I'm not gay." Draco spat

"Could have fooled me," Willow shrugs

"Yeah, you haven't been interested in any girls this year. maybe you're just not into girls at all," Blaise strokes his chin

"God, you guys suck. I just think Harry is a twat and shouldn't even be as known as he is. He doesn't even have a mom or a dad, how pitiful." Draco shrugs

"Don't talk about his parents," I say

"What was that Amor?" Draco cups his ear

"I said, 'don't talk about his parents,'" I spoke a bit louder

"Aww, look at her defending her orphan boyfriend," Draco laughs

"Shut up Malfoy. You're being a twat." I say

At this point, everyone in the common room at the time had glanced over to see what was happening

"Why? Does it hit a bit too close to home? Y'know, The whole losing parents thing. You were such an awful child that your daddy left you."  he smirked

My nails dig into my palm as I try not to beat the crap out of Draco

"Draco that's enough," Theo steps in

"No, I've been wanting to say this for a while. You need to get off of that thrown you sit on Amor. You think you're better than all of us because you managed to befriend the most famous boy in the whole Wizarding World. Get over yourself." Draco finished

Willow quickly pulled me away as I tried to get to him.

I heard Willow yelling at him, "You've gone way too far Malfoy! She's literally going to kill you."

Willow managed to take us all the way into our dorm.

"Amery, do you really want him to win? If you react emotionally he wins," She says calmly

"You heard him! If he thinks he can talk about my family like that he is horribly wrong." I spout out

" I know and trust me, Austin is taking care of it," she says

"Austin saw that?" I ask

"Almost everyone did," She looks to the floor

"oh my god. Thank god We are leaving tomorrow." I sigh, " Because I don't think I could go any longer without killing Malfoy.

A/N  I'm so sorry I had to rush through first year because they're just too young for anything interesting to happen. Also, I hate this chapter because it jumps around and again was difficult to write. I hope the next chapters with be better
