Lila helped Alex organize his clothes after he ended up doing the same with her.

After both of them went through their minimal clothes, it was time for dinner.

Now they sat as they watched Erik and Charles go back and forth about their next course of action. Who should be training what and the limits being pushed.

Lila blinked as her eyes bounced between the men as if it was an exhilarating tennis match. Alex was openly annoyed with it, his arm resting on the back of Lila's chair as they all sat at the dining table.

Sean met his gaze from across the table, Alex's jaw crooked.

"Mom and dad are fighting," Sean mouthed to him. Alex smirked in mild amusement, watching Lila take a sip of her water.

Raven was glaring at the men, "Is this really necessary? You both fight as if you've been married for years. The bottom line is, we're not your children we're your team. Charles we're not children and can decide our own limits. Erik we are not some group of super soldier assassins, don't act like we are."

Raven's quip shut the leaders up, Hank pressed his lips tightly together to avoid laughing at her scolding.

The silence was broken when Lila had leaned over to whisper in Alex's ear. He moved closer to her but due to how quiet it was everyone could hear what she asked.

"They're not married?" Lila's brows were furrowed confusedly, she thought they kept their relationship quiet or in the closet.

Alex couldn't stop himself from laughing, smacking a hand on the table in amusement. Everyone else followed as Erik and Charles both sighed at the group.

"No doll face, they just wish they were."

Erik shot him a look of annoyance before standing to leave from the table. Lila chuckled quietly, looking to see Charles cracked a smile eventually.

"Now that that's out of the way, we all need to pick a training regimen. Decide what we need to work on most to effectively stop Shaw in our short amount of time," Charles rest his elbows on the table in thought.

Everyone went around the table on what they wanted to work on.

"We're lucky if Alex boy here doesn't vaporize us all," Sean laughed at his own joke.

Alex himself visibly stiffened while Lila glared at the red headed boy.

Slowly, she felt him lean back into his own space and remove his arm from the back of her seat. He folded his arms across his chest as he stared at his plate.

The blonde grunted, "I don't think any of this is a good idea."

Lila knew his mutation was a sensitive subject for him. She reached a hand over to his shoulder but hesitated when he flinched away. Her eyes widened a bit.

They both looked up at Charles who cleared his throat.

"We just need to work on control," Charles bartered. "I'm sure with time you'll be fully capable of using your abilities how you please. But for now, I think we should work on something to guide you."

Alex frowned in confusion but Hank gave Charles a knowing smile.

Hank piped up, "I'll get started on something."

The telepath nodded in thanks, "Now Lila I think your powers can be one of the most versatile. In terms of offensive or defensive skills. We just need to see exactly what your capable of and build off it."

Lila slowly nodded as she tried to imagine what that would look like. "Erik could probably help me figure it out."

"I agree," Charles nodded at the idea.
