Sodalite: A Steven Universe Fanfic (ON HIATUS)

Cat Fingers

(I skipped the Frybo episode because I don't see a point as to why Sodalite would be there. If the gems aren't shown in an episode or if I don't see a point in Sodalite being in an episode, then I will skip to the next one. Sorry if I skip your favorite episode)

Sodalite left his room and saw two Pearls? And the purple one started shaking her butt? He then noticed the purple Pearl had Amethyst's gem in her chest. So it wasn't another pearl, it's just Amethyst.

"All gems have shapeshifting powers, Steven. We can turn into objects, we can change parts of our bodies, or we could do that," Pearl said, and then gestured towards Amethyst at the end.

"Whomp! Whomp!" Amethyst said, still mocking Pearl.

"I want to try it all!" Steven said

"I don't even want to know what I walked into," Sodalite said. Steven then looked toward him.

"Sodalite! Were you the other day? We could've used your help," he says

"Uh, I-"

"Whomp! Whomp!" Amethyst said. She turned back to her original form.

"Amethyst! Show me how to turn into a huge lion," Steven asked, turning his attention to Amethyst

"Actually, for once, Pearl is right," she said.

"She's been right multiple times," Sodalite said.

"Is that why you left?"

"..."

"That's what I thought," Amethyst said.

"Wait he left you guys?" Steven asked.

"We'll tell you when you're older. Anyways, yeah you should start small," Sodalite said.

"Like that cat, Amethyst turned into?" Steven asked.

"That sounds good. Now follow my lead," Amethyst said. "First, think of what you want to be, then just shake it out," she then turned into a cat, "see? Now your turn."

"Okay. Ca-a-t," Steven said, looking slightly constipated.

"Nah, you're too tense. Just relax and feel it," Amethyst said. She then started to eat chips.

"How about this Steven. Try to think of something that makes you happy, and then think of what you want to turn into. And relax, like so," Sodalite said. He then thought of nature, and then turned into an eagle. "So, as Amethyst said, just feel it," he continued.

"Fe-e-e-el i-i-t," he said, putting his fingers to his temple and not being so tense. Which didn't work.

"Uh, if you're not ready, we can try again later," Amethyst said.

"No way. I can do it," he said. Steven then did a little dance.

"Well it was a good try," Amethyst said.

"It looked like you were trying to fuse for a second," Sodalite said.

"Fuse?" Steven asked.

"One thing at a time, anyway nice try-" Sodalite was them cut off by a meow. He and Amethyst looked at Steven. Steven then pointed a finger and a cat head was on it. A living cat head, not a dead one.

Sodalite was weirded out, while the other two looked excited.

"Whaaaaat?" Sodalite asked, drawing out his what.

"This is so cool!" Steven said.

"You should go show your dad. He's gonna freak out," Amethyst said. They then left.

"That's freakish," Sodalite said to himself. He then went back into his room and started to tend to his "Mega-Garden" as Steven calls it. That Lapis Lazuli that Amethyst stepped on had healed, thankfully. After a while, Garnet walked in. Apparently, there was a new mission. They had to fight a living island.

They had left to go onto the gem sloop. Pearl was already there, and Amethyst joined them soon after. Steven followed Amethyst out wanting on. Sodalite didn't really care until the gems started to panic. He looked over to Steven and saw that all of his fingers had cats. "Freaky," he said.

"Sodalite your not helping! Garnet, we need to go back and help Steven," Pearl yells.

"We can't. This is a tectonic emergency. Well deal with Steven when we get back," she said.

"Amethyst, I blame you for this," Pearl said, emphasizing the word you.

"Eh, that's fair," she said in response. Pearl grunts in annoyance. Sodalite slipped Amethyst a bag of chips as payment for not saying that he helped.

"Steven! Just try to stay calm!" Pearl yelled out. After about a minute, Sodalite decided to sleep. After what was a few hours of boating, they arrived. Sodalite woke up.

"So we killing this thing or what?" Sodalite asked.

"Yes," said Garnet. She then jumps towards it. Which prompted the others to fight as well. While fighting, Sodalite noticed a rare plant that he doesn't have in his collection yet. It was a Ghost Orchid. He quickly picked it up and then got hit by the island. Sodalite then created a small hurricane and used it to pick up the island and then through it back into the ocean. It died. (I have no idea if this thing was a gem or an organic monster, so I'm going to write under the assumption that it is a corrupted gem)

Sodalite then used the air and lifted the gem up and bubbled it. He got back onto the sloop and fell asleep. When he woke up, Steven was making cat jokes. They were bad and he went inside. He went into his room and planted the Ghost Orchid.
