Chapter 5: Jump

"You might be able to train with Sideswipe and Sunstreaker." Optimus said guiding her towards the training room. "They're still in training?" Searchlight said. "Sort of, they need reminders now and then." Optimus said. "Ironhide is strict but a good teacher." Optimus said opening a pair of doors with Transformer Training printed above it. Searchlight nodded and stepped in. The room was huge with practice and real weapons along the wall. It had an obstical course, target practice, sparring area, and track. "Dang." Searchlight whispered.
"Hey Searchlight!"
She turned to see Sunstreaker waving at her. Searchlight jogged over to the mech. "Hey, where's your twin?" She asked, normally they were together. "Oh he's running laps." Sunstreaker sighed glancing over at the track. Ironhide was standing by it watching Sideswipe run. "Maybe next time you'll think twice about putting glitter in my cannons." Ironhide said as Sideswipe ran past. The mech started laughing and ended up tripping. Sideswipe landed face first on the track. "Get up Sideswipe, you have one hundred laps to go." Ironhide said. Sideswipe groaned and got up. "Sideswipe did what?" Searchlight asked. Sunstreaker sighed. "He put a ton of glitter in Ironhide's cannons so when he was demonstrating a shooting technique glitter came out instead of bullets." Sunstreaker said shaking his helm. "How many laps has he run so far?" Searchlight said. "Five hundred and ninety six." Sunstreaker said. She stared at him in shock.
"That many?"
"It was more when he painted the training room pink, even the ceiling was pink."
"How'd he even do that? This room is huge"
"I've asked, he won't tell."
"Oh Searchlight, I didn't see you come in." Ironhide said leaving the track and walking over. "Alright Sideswipe you're done." Ironhide called over his shoulder. Sideswipe immediately sat down and started rubbing his pede. "So Prime said you're at Sideswipe and Sunstreaker's level." Ironhide said. Searchlight nodded. "Well let's find out!" Ironhide said walking over to the wall and selecting a blaster. "Catch." Ironhide said throwing it. Searchlight it and nearly fell over due to its weight. "That's one of the electric based weapons. See what you can do to those targets." Ironhide said. She held it up and aimed and the middle target first. She lined up the shot and pulled the trigger. The blaster slammed into her shoulder, but it only stung a little. The shot smacked into the target and blew a hole in it. Whisps of electricity danced around the target. "Good job, it took Sideswipe three tries to hit the target." Ironhide said patting her shoulder. "Um...thanks." Searchlight said. "Did not take me three tries." Sideswipe mumbled suddenly beside her. "Yeah, it was the three hundredth try." Sunstreaker snickered. Sideswipe growled and smack his helm. "Do that again and *smack* that's it!" Sunstreaker yelled tackling his twin. Ironhide sighed and pulled them apart. "Enough you two, go spar it out." Ironhide said giving each a push towards the sparring area. Ironhide paused for a moment. "Searchlight why don't you join them." Ironhide said. "A three way spar?" Searchlight said with uncertainty. "It'll be good practice for a real fight." Ironhide said pushing her forward. She glanced at the twins. Sunstreaker gave her a thumbs up and Sideswipe looked bored. "Alright." Searchlight said following the twins. The sparring area wasn't that interesting, just a marked off area in the corner of the room. "So were all against eachother." Searchlight said grabbing the hilt of her sword. "Hold on there. No real weapons, Ratchet complained about too many injuries." Ironhide said. "So what do we use instead?" Searchlight asked. He gave the three of them dulled blades. "These can cut paper." Ironhide said. "What are the rules." Searchlight asked picking up a blade. "No ruled, now begin!" Ironhide said. Sunstreaker leaped towards Sideswipe, their dull blades clashing. "Why are you attacking me." Sideswipe said blocking Sunstreaker's blows. "Because I fell like it." Sunstreaker said. Sideswipe hit his blade and jumped back. Sideswipe whirled around and dashed towards Searchlight. She raised her blade and the sound steel kissing filled the room. Sideswipe slashed and jumped backwards. Sunstreaker was suddenly behind him and smacked his helm. "Dude what the frag!" Sideswipe said. "No cursing!" Ironhide shouted. Sideswipe turned to scowl. Searchlight lunnged and slapped his chestplate with the blade. "Hey no teaming up!" Sideswipe said. Sunstreaker rolled his optics and started attacking Searchlight from behind. Sideswipe grinned and attack from the front. She ducked Sideswipe's blow and got hit by Sunstreaker's slash. She crouched as the twins prepared to attack her. Sunstreaker lunged at the same time as Sideswipe. Searchlight jumped and the two twins collided. As she was coming down Sideswipe grabbed her pede causing her to hit the floor awkwardly. "You fight pretty good, points off for the landing though." Ironhide said.
