"So? Is she fine?"
Elwin shone his balls of light over Ro again. "Yes, she's fine. She'll be up in the span of a few hours."
Sophie sighed with relief. First she lost That Boy a/n Grady vibes, anyone? , and now she might've lost Ro? Unacceptable. No thank you.
"Why did she faint anyway?" Sophie asked Elwin, inspecting the sleeping ogre princess. Somehow, even asleep she looked as if she could kill anyone with her pinky finger.
"Well, at first glance it just seemed like shock, but when I looked a little deeper I found..."
Sophie could see Elwin struggling to find the right words.
"...Something." He finally settled on.
"What do you mean?" Sophie frowned.
"There's something in her systems that I've never seen before. A substance that seems to multiply every time I give her something to wake up."
Sophie's worry increased.
"Of course," Elwin continued, "There's nothing fatal in what's inside of Ro. It's equivalent to a sedative. And, with the looks of it, Ro'll soon wake up herself. Nothing to bad, just something to research."
"So, how long do you think it'll take for her to wake up?" Sophie asked.
"Maybe a week or so?" Elwin replied, flashing her colorful orbs of light at the ogre princess again.
"Will you tell me if she wakes up earlier?" Sophie asked.
"You'll be the first one." Elwin promised, and then shooed her out of the Healing Center, talking about how he needed to find a few shiny things or something for an elixir he was working on.
And that's when Sophie decided to go back to check on her bestie the Neverseen agent.
