"QUACKITY OPEN THE DOOR!"
wilbur huffed, crossing his arms and thumping back against a tree.
it had been two weeks. and quackity still wouldn't let him back into las nevadas.
the gates were locked 24/7. wilbur constantly checked to see if they were ever open.
they weren't.
his frustration was practically tangible, tangling in thick webs around his mind, which made his attitude awful and his mood sour.
and most of that anger was directed to one person.
schlatt.
wilbur knew he needed to calm himself down. it had been two weeks. yet he still couldn't help pass a glare in schlatt's direction when they crossed paths. schlatt mostly stayed out in the garden, away from wilbur and his foul moods.
he had even caught a glimpse of schlatt crying a little and mumbling to himself, but he didn't comfort him.
why should he feel bad for the guy that ruined everything for him?
it wasn't the first time he'd done that.
but it also wasn't the first time wilbur had ever walked away in a time of need.
he went over and pounded on the gates once more, and, no answer appearing, turned around and started walking back to the cottage.
but a creak made him stop.
he whipped around, staring in astonishment as the gates slowly widened. there stood a man with black hair and a blue beanie, and his regular fancy-ish dress (outfit).
quackity didn't say anything. just gestured with his finger to come in.
wilbur practically ran over to the gates and shoved himself in before quackity could close them again.
but he didn't close them. he just turned around and walked down the path toward the casino. wilbur followed.
soon enough, they reached it and then, soon enough, reached the floor where quackity's office was.
when they got there, and once inside, wilbur took a seat on the chair across from quackity's chair, across the desk. quackity, who seemed quite small in the larger chair, stared intently at wilbur.
but it didn't make wilbur squirm.
"so.. what's with the sudden change of heart?", wilbur finally asked after what seemed like an eternity of silence.
"maybe the fact that you won't leave me alone? who knew that the wilbur soot was so desperate to be back with me", quackity smiled to himself in sly content after his words, lazily shifting his gaze back to wilbur after a moment.
wilbur just sat there, not knowing to to say.
"so? you gonna speak or what? you obviously want something."
"yes, i'm just trying to figure out how to propose this."
"well?"
"...let me rejoin las nevadas."
quackity blinked. "is that it?"
"let schlatt join too-"
"ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?"
"probably, yes."
quackity shook his head so fast it must've hurt. "no way! not any day ever!"
and suddenly an idea popped into wilbur's head. he stood up and walked over to quackity's side of the desk.
"what if i were to..", he grabbed quackity by the chin, "pay you..?"
quackity gave him a strange look. "pay me? how so?"
wilbur quickly looked quackity up and down.
"you know."
quackity's face went red.
"i-"
wilbur suddenly pulled quackity closer and mashed their lips together, internally gagging but trying to act like he wanted him.
(believe me this is killing me to write)
after a moment quackity kissed back passionately, the two all over each other.
wilbur was first to pull away, mentally cringing.
quackity looked up at the taller man lustily and grabbed the neck of his yellow sweater, pulling him in.
"this, every night for the next two weeks. then i'll decide", he whispered.
wilbur did what he could only think of to do. he nodded.
quackity let go. "great."
"so.. i'm gonna go now.. starting tomorrow right? right. bye", wilbur quickly hurried out of there.
he shivered as he walked down the long hallways, trying not to think of the long nights ahead.
at least wilbur and schlatt were back in.
---
"schlatt! guess what!", wilbur shouted as he burst through the cottage door.
schlatt looked up from the book he was reading, one of wilbur's.
"what is it?", he asked warily, not wanting to get yelled at. although wilbur didn't seem mad at all, his previous anger forgotten.
"i've gotten us back into las nevadas! we'll be there in two weeks!"
"wait, did you just say we?", schlatt asked, feeling excitement bubble up.
"yeah!"
"that's awesome! i cant believe quackity is just allowing that without any kind of exchange!"
wilbur's face fell. "about that.."
schlatt's smile faded. "w-what's wrong?"
"well, you see, the thing is, i made a bit of a deal with quackity.. to have.. you know for two weeks and then he'll actually decide if we're in or not", wilbur said the last part quickly, half hoping schlatt wouldn't hear him.
but he did.
"what? why..?"
"it was the only option. look, it's just two weeks, besides, what do you care?"
schlatt opened his mouth to respond, but no words came out, so he just shrugged.
wilbur eyed him for a second before going over to him.
"hey, look on the bright side. you'll get to come with me now when i leave", he said.
schlatt didn't look at him, and only responded half-heartedly with a, "yeah, i guess."
wilbur frowned. he wondered why it bothered schlatt so much. it's not as if he were affected by wilbur's choice.
"welp, guess i'm off to start dinner. don't go anywhere."
"i won't", schlatt said, flopping back onto the bed and staring at the ceiling.
after wilbur had left the room, he mumbled, "that's a fate worse than dying."
