The day was finally here, graduation. I have been dreaming of graduating high school since I started it. I never found any of my classes appealing or useful. I did love English, only because I was good at it. The whole concept of high school is horrible. You're called dumb if not up to the standards and a nerd if above them.

But no longer, it was over. I have made life long memories and friends but I will not miss it. I will miss the friends but not the stressful years of learning useless stuff.

"Cami!" my mother shouted from downstairs.

"Coming mom!" I shouted back. She'll probably cry at graduation and make me feel weird about starting my new journey.

I will start cosmetology school in the fall. I love makeup and doing hair. That's about all I like to do.

"Cami!!! It's your big day well not like wedding day but you're graduating sweetheart!" my mom says as tears roll down her cheek.

"I know I'm so excited, I know people say that high school is the best years of your life but I intend on having much better years after it." I say smiling and hugging my mother.

"Well come on let's get going," my dad says.
