Surprisingly Sookie enjoyed Naomi's company, watching in amusement as she shifted awkwardly at the looks they were on the receiving end of as the rest of the patrons who couldn't seem to grasp the fact that another vampire was off the market. Sookie couldn't help but laugh at some of the thoughts, each one stranger than the next.
Jealously was a bitter bitch.
It wasn't until Elijah made a polite comment about reservations that Sookie and Godric were once again left alone in the booth, quietly chatting about nothing in general until Godric suddenly closed his eyes before rising from his seat.
"I shall be back in a few minutes, Älskling. Keep within the bar, yes?"
Nodding, she watched as Godric left. Less than ten minutes must have gone by when Sookie was surprised at the appearance of Jessica suddenly sitting in front of her. Almost immediately Chow had her by her upper arm, fangs bared, and ready to remove her at once.
"No! Wait, I know her!" Sookie tried to quickly defuse the situation, taking note of Jessica's suddenly frazzled expression. Sookie didn't blame her; Chow didn't look friendly in the slightest when he was furious. "It's ok, Chow."
"Are you sure, Sookie?"
She nodded hastily, seeing Chow murmur something too low for her human ears to pick up on but whatever it was had Jessica nodding quickly, eyes wide and face serious. Watching as Chow headed back to the bar Sookie turned her attention towards Jessica.
"Jessica..." Sookie had to admit she was a little annoyed Jessica had managed to get inside Fangtasia, and without a maker by the looks of it. There were rules.
Jessica rolled her eyes, "I'm a vampire."
Still, Sookie didn't really feel comfortable having her in such a place when she was as young as she was, vampire or not. She clearly remembered Jessica practically begging to take her before when they had been on a shift together, and it was clear by her look of awe that she hadn't set foot inside Fangtasia until now.
"Did Pam let you in?"
Jessica shrugged. "The scary blonde lesbian vamp?"
Sookie nodded.
"Yep. Told me that I needed to find Eric straight away or I was going to be in deep shit."
It certainly sounded like Pam. "He's in his office."
Jessica pouted. "Can't I stick around with you for a bit? Maybe dance, find some willing donor" she eyed the crowd hungrily. "Not to mention you smell real good."
Sookie winced at her comment, "You can't say stuff like that 'round here, Jessica."
"Why not?"
"Because Eric's vampires don't have any loyalty towards you, you need to think before you speak."
Jessica rolled her eyes, her age coming through. "All I did was comment on your blood, Sookie. You know I'm not goin' to rip your throat out-"
Sookie winced the moment the word passed her lips, all of a sudden several vampires surrounding the booth, none of which looking happy. Squealing, Jessica shoved herself as far as she could in the booth, confidence non-existent as Chows lips curved up in a silent snarl as a low growl escaped his lips.
Jesus!
"What is going on here!" Eric's voice boomed over the crowd, the chatter dying out instantly as every single patron turned to stare. Sookie blushed, hating the fact this was causing a scene. She should have stayed in Eric's office.
"Eric, calm down" she reached out to touch his arm. "Jessica here was just about to apologise for causing a scene, weren't you Jessica?" she stared pointedly at the shaking teenager who immediately started nodding.
