[II] Playground Picnic

It's a beautiful day outside, the sun's shining nicely, and the birds fly freely in the sky. The wonderful trees and grass around makes the atmosphere fresher than ever.

A few minutes later, a group of four arrived, entering from a tree stump nearby. Finally arriving at this beautiful forest. Also known as Vast Forest.

Kel arrived first, as he placed his hands on his hips, standing proudly. "OH YEAH!!! FRESH AIR AT LAST!! Gotta love the nature!" Kel exclaimed.

[A/N] looked around in awe. "Woah, it's been a while since I've been here. Did anything change? Oh! How are Mari and Basil doing?"

"They've been doing fiine! But you should go to the playground to find out! Let's go! They'll be happy to see you join!" Kel told them, clearly brimming with excitement.

"...Wait, where's Aubrey?" [A/N] as Aubrey's voice suddenly calls out to them.

"Hey, wait a sec!" The group glances back at the tree stump they entered from.

They looked at the tree stump to find Aubrey getting stuck at the entrance. "Help me up, guys! I'm stuck!" Aubrey said.

"Only if you say pleaseee!" Kel grins mischievously at the stuck Aubrey.

Aubrey looked at him, a little annoyed. "Kel, stop messing around and help me get out of here."

"Hey now, don't fight... I'll help you up, Aubrey!" [A/N] told her as they approached the stuck Aubrey. Aubrey extended her arms to reach [A/N], then they pulled her arms as hard as they can.

Maybe a little too hard. When Aubrey was successfully pulled out from the tree stump safely, [A/N] was sent backward, rolling. Now laying on the ground, feeling a little dizzy.

"[A/N]! Are you alright??" Hero asks while running up to me, worried. While Omori looks at me, extending a hand.

[A/N] got up to their feet thanks to Omori, "I'm fine, don't worry! Oh, and thanks, Omori." they gave the two boys a reassuring smile and a thanks.

Aubrey ran up to me a few seconds later, "[A/N]! Thanks for helping me! You're the best! You're waaay better than Kel!" Aubrey twirled as she sticks out a tongue to Kel. Kel looks pretty much annoyed, currently puffing his cheeks.

"Haha... come on, let's go now. Mari and Basil are up ahead!" Hero said.

Eventually, we all started walking ahead and arrived at the playground. As we walked in, the group could see Basil and Mari talking to each other at the picnic spot.

"MARI! BASIL!" Aubrey called out to the two.

They all ran, approaching the picnic spot. Mari and Basil greeted the group.

"Oh, hello Aubrey! Hello everyone!" Mari greets the group with a smile.

"Oh, is that [A/N]? Nice to see you again, [A/N]! It's been a while!" Mari looks at [A/N]. "I'm happy you've joined us for a picnic today!" Mari chirps.

"Aww, I'm happy I could join in too, Mar-Mar! Hero told me you and Basil invited all of us for a picnic so why not? I missed you guys too." [A/N] told Mari as they smiled at her.

Mari returned a smile then turned around and glanced at the others. "How are you doing today?" She asks.

"KEL'S BEING MEAN TO ME AGAIN!" Aubrey yelled, pointing fingers at Kel.

"Oh, no! Not again... How could he?" Mari played along, her mouth forming an 'O' shape.

"Pshh, I'm not being mean! Aubrey's just being all whiny." Kel rebuttals.
