Part 22

Virat saw his new office and finalised the details. He went back to the current one and no one was in the office. He sat in his cabin and thought what he said to Anushka yesterday.

Virat's POV + Flashback -

Why didn't she leave me ? Why is she still with her looser husband u couldn't take care of her ?
Who didn't knew what his wife was going through?

It was 2 days they had come to Mussoorie. They were staying in the house near the hills. That was really calming environment.

Virat was with Rohit for the whole day talking and taking care of him as he was really scared seeing him like that. Rohit's leg had recovered so that got a bit easy.

He went to his room .. it was completely dark .. he saw a figure sitting near the bed.

"Nushkie ?" Virat called.

"Bubs .... Help .... Please" Anushka said while crying and taking deep breaths.

"What's wrong Nush ?" He rushed to her and took her trembling figure in his arms.

"I ... cannot ... breath .. help ... me" she mumbled in the hug.

Virat tried everything but she was not calming down. He didn't know the proper way because he was dealing it with first time.

"Ritz.... Call .... Her" said Anushka breathing fast.

Virat ran to their room and knocked frantically. Ritika opened it and saw Virat worried.

"Ritz ... come .. fast ... pata nahi .. Anu ko kya ho Gaya" said Virat and Ritika ran to his room.

Ritika rushed to her and hugged her. Virat stood by the door .. Rohit came there too. They were shocked to see her condition.

Rohit kept his hand on Virat's shoulder as they were seeing Ritika calming Anushka.

"Ritz .. I ... didn't .... Do ... anything .... I .... Swear ... I ... am ... sorry ..." mumbled Anushka.

"Shhhh... Anu shaant .. who is blaming u no one .. whatever happened is not because of anyone okay .. and besides Virat proved they are innocent right then how can it be ur fault" she said softly.

"Will Vi leave me ? Or you and Rohit ?" She asked.

"No baba .. we are not leaving ever" said Ritka rubbing her back.

Virat could not watch more so he went outside in the garden. He just sat there staring the stars.
Not a single tear fell from his eyes ... there was just anger on himself.

Ritika and Rohit came there. Ritka Sat beside him.
"She is sleeping now" Ritika said softly.

"From how much time she is getting this ?" Virat asked.

"From the time u people were accused .. the media and trolls had take over her mind" Ritika said.

"And what did the doctor say about it" asked Rohit this time.

"Calm environment and she should not think about it.. I will go and be with her" said Ritika.

Rohit sat beside Virat who looked completely devastated right now.

"I am a horrible person .. first I was a horrible friend and now a looser husband who cannot take care of his wife" Virat said sadly chuckling.

"Aisa nahi hai Vi" said Rohit.

"Aisa hi hai Ro .. Aisa hi hai .." Virat said and left from there.

He just went to his room to find Anushka sleeping peacefully. Ritika left the room.

He sat beside her and caressed her head. How could he not see this ? That was the only question that was in his mind at that time.

From that day Virat made sure to take care of his whole family - Anushka, Rohit, Ritika, Sammy and Vami .. that nothing happens to them. He always made sure of it.

Virat just sighed at these thoughts which never left his mind. And now it just keeps coming back to him.
He could not handle it anymore.

Meanwhile at the ICT team hotel cafe -

Rohit asked - "Tell me why do u want to know now that are we okay or not ? What do u want to know ?"

Mahi - "Ro"

Rohit interrupted- "It's still Rohit for u"

Mahi sighed and began again - "Rohit I know I have made a big mistake ... and there is no forgiveness for that .. I am so guilty and probably will feel guilty for life .. but please give me one chance .. I am really sorry Rohit"

Rohit felt bad seeing his moist eyes again and said -"It's not easy MS .. it's really not easy to forget everything .."

Mahi said - "I know Rohit .. but please can u try once.. please"

Rohit said - "I can't promise anything"

Mahi was going to say something but Rohit's phone rang with Virat's name. Mahi insisted him to keep on speaker so that he could hear Virat's normal tone for once rather then a professional one.

Rohit picked up and kept on speaker- "Ha Vi ?"

Virat just said tiredly -"Can u please come here ?"

Rohit got confused at the location and concern at the tone - "Kaha Vi ? Kya hua ?"

Mahi also got tensed hearing so resigned tone.

"Yaha old office mai.. I need u Ro please aaja" Virat said being exhausted.

Mahi listened to that tone and felt so helpless.

"Ha I am coming don't worry" he said and rushed to the parking. Mahi followed him so that he could know why was Virat sounding like this.

Rohit reached the office in half hour and found Virat sitting with his head buried in his hands.

Rohit went to him and sat beside him. He asked softly removing his hands - "Kya hua Vi?"

Mahi reached there and sat a distance so that he could hear them. He didn't mean to eavesdrop but he didn't have any option.

Virat just kept his head on his shoulder. "Kya hua Vi ?" Asked Rohit again.

"I am trying so hard Ro .. I just feel so tired .. I want to go back Ro .. this place suffocates me .. it haunts me about how I could not take care of u and Nush" he said tiredly.

Rohit said softly - "U don't have to try Vi .. I am here na with u .. and me and Nush both are okay now .. why are u thinking like this .. u know we can't leave and go"

Virat just held his arm and said - "I don't know Ro .. I don't know .. this thoughts after seeing that hospital that day .. I can't forget everything.. I want to go away from all this"

Mahi felt so sad hearing that tired voice of his kiddo who had so much burden on him. This place suffocates him  ... how will he get his Cheeku back.
He left from there.
