Y/N SHINAZUGAWA'S POV

"SHINOBU-SAN," seeing the familiar dark hair with purple tips walking ahead me, i quickly skipped towards the older woman. shinobu turned to me and smile, "ah good morning y/n-san."

"good morning!" i greet. once i've arrived right beside her, we continue the conversation.

"how are you?" shinobu kindly ask.

"doing fine. my fever has cured anyway. how about you shinobu-san?" she clapped her hands together and smile in relief, "that's good to know. i'm doing fine as well, thank you for your concern."

i grin, "no problem. then where are you heading to?"

"going to check up on several patients. wanna come along with me?" she invite and i chirped a yes. she nod and walked ahead of me. i followed her from behind like a lost puppy.

we attended a few patients with shinobu asking them about their wounds and how are they feelings and all. most of them are alright while others are still breathing at least.

but to my surprise these people recovering fast as if they didn't just went through a life-threatening moments few days ago.

"i guess being demon slayers teached them to be strong mentally too." i thought but shake it away when i saw few patients not doing really well mentally. no, fuck it they're going insane to be honest.

one guy was mumbling his life out with a crazy expression on his face at the corner of the room. i decided not to help as shinobu near him and inject him with some type of liquid. moments later, he calmed down and start to doze off.

i shudder, "wow... respect them for being able to hold themselves from going feral. i'd have start to contemplating my life at that point if it were me.."

"i think that's all. most of them are doing pretty good, hm..." shinobu talked to herself as i walked behind her with a tray of medicines in my hands.

i tilt my head, "are you tired shinobu-san? you should take a break." i said. shinobu halt for a second before shaking her head with the usual smile on her face.

it was a little same with kanao's smile, but this time i can't really tell if it was really genuine, fake or it's just something that she used to do, like breathing.

"there's no need for that, as long as i don't feel sick or faint out of fatigue, i'll be fine." she responded and i frowned. "but didn't you guys usually went out for a missions of patrol at night? it means you stay awake for the whole day at this point." i said.

"even if you don't feel sick, it's important to take a rest. our body needs rest no matter what." i continue nagging, not realizing i might sounds like an old hag.

shinobu stay silent listening to my naggings that's when i realized i might touch a line there.

"ah...sorry if i hurt you or anything. i just don't know much about demon slayer thingy.. so if i said something that offended you, i guess i'm sorry..." i said awkwardly, hoping that shinobu wasn't really mad.
