"What the hell is going on?" I demanded, catching my air back as I ripped my hand away, rubbing the circulation free
"You're an idiot Eden" He replied angrily as he turned around and pulled the door open, sticking his head out to check all was clear
"Excuse me?" I spat back as he stormed back out into the hallway and down where Mr. Baits had bolted
"Port Ally, Nine o'clock" He replied shaking his head as I walked quickly behind him
"You would have gotten yourself hurt, again, and to be honest I can't afford new carpet" I sarcastically retorted as he scoffed "You seem to cause enough trouble as it is, I was helping avoid just a little more before you get killed, so you're welcome" I smugly threw back causing him to stop mid-stride and spin around towards me, his feet taking two hard steps to stop directly in front of me
"You think you helped? You made things worse, for yourself, and now I have to waste my time saving you" He spat back, the anger behind his eyes somewhat terrifying.
"I don't need to be saved" I rolling my eyes as I pushed past him and strut up the hallway
"Did you hear that Marx, the girl doesn't need to be saved" Jaz's sickening face appeared directly in front of me, stumbling my footsteps as he snaked his arms around my stomach and pulled me into him. Like before, I tried to struggle free of his grip, but it was impossible as he pushed my back into his front, pulling me backwards as one of his hands now gripped my hair.
"Take her" Phoenix shrugged, standing perfectly still as my mouth dropped open.
He was trying to prove a point, and that only made me more concerned. I wasn't a pawn.
"I knew that waiting list was a good idea" Jaz breathed as his face brushed against the side of mine
"She doesn't want to be saved, so take her" Phoenix shrugged again as he dug his hands in his pockets.
"You piece of shit!" I spat towards Phoenix as Jaz's hands grew tighter, pulling my hair from my scalp as I winced and squirmed
"See the influence you have on nice girls Marx, such sweet assets with such dirty mouths" Jaz whispered as he forced his lips on the side of my face only causing me to wriggle more against his steel cage
"So how about it sweetheart, Let's show Mr. X-rated Phox how sweet you really are" Jaz continued as he took a fistful of my hair and bent my head back enough for him to crash his teeth and lips into the bare flesh of my shoulder. A sudden rush of pinching and burning pain shot through my skin before he pulled away, leaving what felt similar to a hairdryer burn.
I felt a tremble escape my lips. My eyes were dazed but clear enough to see Phoenix take a long step forward towards us. His hands were now by his sides, his knuckles white and scarred as they made tense fists
"Your mouth says no, but your body says yes" Jaz teased as he pulled me back again by my hair
"You're a coward, always have been, you can't face me alone, can you?" Phoenix seethed
"This is way more amusing" Jaz quickly laughed before I was pulled to the ground, the thump and pressure of someone falling on top of me. At first I thought it was Jaz pushing the show, but I was quick to realize Nova was back, his fist raised dripping with fresh blood. Phoenix was quickly beside us, pulling an injured wailing Jaz off of me.
My eyes were blurry and my head was now soaked in pain as Nova lifted me off the ground, his arms supporting my full weight. I watched through crackled flashes as Phoenix launched Jaz into a wall, his fists drawing back then drawing viciously into Jaz's face more than once
