Chapter 10
Anail
l stirred a lot in my sleep . l was having a nightmare .l was witnessing the incident yet again ,Mom and Dads bodies were there on the floor laying lifeless and my older sis and my lil bro were nowhere to be found. l go up into my room and a mettalic stench fills my nostrils . There was blood everywhere imfact a whole pull of blood . l run out of my room but Before l make it downstairs a hand grips my leg
'Ahhhh ' l wince in pain feeling the nails digging deep
'you are next ' a hoarse voice says
l fall down and catch a glimpse of the creature holding my leg . lt is that centaur ( half human half horse ) that killed mom and dad
'you are next ' it continues to say
' No no no ' l shout while getting up and running to the kitchen . lt follows me with incredible speed and grabs me by the hair . l plunge the butcher knife into its chest but nothing happens . No ounce of blood comes out .Before l know it , it digs its nails deep into the left side of my chest causing excruciating pain and pulls out my heart .
'No ! ' l say shouting and holding onto the blankets for dear life .Daisy leans to my side and tries to comfort me
'its ok ... l m here ' she says in her soothing voice and takes me into her arms and my muscles relax
'lets go back to sleep ' she says . We cover ourselves with the blankets and Before l know it Daisy 's light snore fills the room . l glance over to her and make out her features .
How does one look so peaceful when they sleep ?
Morning finally arrives without me getting my good sleep . Daisy stirs and opens her eyes letting out a yawn ' Good morning ' she says getting up and wearing her Bunny morning shoes ' Morning ' lsay
'how did you sleep yesterday ' she asks
'l slept well ... l guese ' l say in a whisper 'your wounds have healed ' l say and she touches her face and her arms
'yes they have ' she says and a knock interrupts us
'Come in ' Daisy says and a tall blonde girl wearing a slack and a shirt come in with a push tray full of yummy food on it
'Master Brodie said l must bring your food to your room ' the girl says
'ok .. you can leave it there ' Daisy says and the girl leaves . Once she leaves someone knocks
'Come in ... ' l say and Augustine comes in
'Augustine ' both of us say
' ln the flash ' He says trying to sound cool
'What are you doing here ? ' Daisy asks and l m intrigued how is He even here ?
'Hi Anail 'He says ignoring Daisy 's question and my throat suddenly goes dry
'Hello ... l m asking you a question ' Daisy says
'l need to know the truth ' He says while making himself comfortable on the bed
'of what ? ' l ask . He gets up and grabs Daisys hand and pulls her to the corner
'Did anyone hurt you yesterday night ?' He asks
how did He know ?
Daisy looks expressionless for some time and she decides to speak ' No '
What the hell ?
'Are you sure ? ' Augustine asks and his green eyes glow or maybe its my imagination
'yes someone did hurt me ...yesterday night . Silvester , He beat me up for ruining the moment between Anail and Eric ' Daisy explains and Augustines eyes stop glowing
'What the hell just happened ' Daisy asks
'He beat you ... how dare He ' Augustine clenches his jaw
'how dare you put me into the trance of truth ' Daisy shouts
'Sorry but l had to do it ' He explains
Daisy falls onto the ground with her face between her legs and l hear a sniff 'How did you know ? ' she asks
Augustine crouches to her level and takes her into his arms ' you are my twin ' He says and silence fills the room
'l am glad to finally be reunited with you brother ' Daisy says and they hug

'how come you are not in denial ? ' Augustine asks
'l knew l had a twin but l didnt know where to start looking ' Daisy says and they share another hug
A loud knock interrupts the moment
'open the door ' Silvester shouts and Augustine clenches his jaw and charges for the door and Daisy holds him
'dont ' she murmurs and Augustine looks at me
'lf she was not here l would have ripped his heart out of his body ' he says and my mind goes back to my dream . l take a step back
'Anail what is wrong ' Daisy asks and tear fall from my eyes ' Nothing ' l mumble
l know its him
the knocking become banging with Silvesters voice shouting
'you need to go 'Daisy says and He nods then disappears
l go and open the door almost leading to Silvester falling
'Where is it ? ' He ask
'What? Daisy asks with innocence
'the darkness in this room '
Daisy and l pretend to be confused
Brodie puts his hand on Silvesters shoulder
'l think its gone ' Brodie says
'Anail ... Silvester can detect darkness from anyway ... a special gift ... so l assume it was here but you guys did not notice
