I groaned as I walked through the hallways, uneasily silent. It's been a month since I accidentally confessed my feelings and apparently this lame 'Yule Ball' is coming up. Strangely, everyone has been avoiding me since we were announced to the Yule Ball. Even Cedric and Sebastian haven't talked to me recently. And I've been trying to avoid them... I grumbled my complaints about life and didn't even notice someone walking toward me. I accidentally bumped into them and I saw a toad fall on the ground. "Hmm?" I tilted my head and crouched down to pick up the toad. It crawled into my hand and I stood up, looking at who was in front of me.
I could've sworn someone was there... hmm. Never mind. I'll just go to the common rooms and ask the painting if anyone's missing a toad. I shrugged and started to walk to the Hufflepuff common rooms when I heard some ruffling. I turned the corner to see a baby dragon. What the heck. I saw Hagrid stumble out of a broom closet and grab the baby dragon, trying to keep it a secret. I ran away. There's a dragon in Hogwarts, oh my god. I ran into some students but I arrived at the Gryffindor commons room.
I started to panic while the lady in the painting was pestering me about a passcode. "I don't-... Caput Draconis?..." I asked, remembering walking by someone entering the commons room. The fat lady in the painting stared at me but let me in. I stumbled into the common room where only Harry, Ron, and another boy were talking. They all looked over at me and the toad in my hand. "Hi?... is anyone in your house missing a-" I was cut off by the boy "TREVOR! Oh my, thank you!" He smiled as he took the toad from my hands.
