30 days. 

the events of the hospital shook devildom to its core. 

the famous human traffiker, Charlie, had faced off with DIavolo. 

and lost. 

his mangled body was found by the royal security team, who had been signaled by a wild eyed women found fleeing the hospital, screaming for help. 

she had been talking about her mother, how she was hurt. how her father was in the building, and that a bad man had come for her. 

they stormed the building. they found diavolo cradling a human girl, her body covered in golden light as he kept her thread like life force from being cut. her blood was everywhere, forming a puddle in the hall that diavolo kneeled in, he was crying over her body, barely able to help her cling to life. 

the man that did it was nowhere to be found. 

it took three weeks for the human to wake from a coma. 

her wounds had finally begun to heal, she was retaining blood, and her body had taken over the processes that machines had run for much of the time. she slipped in and out of counciousness for another week. 

after a month, she began to truly improve. everyday she got up and walked a circle around her room. everyday she had her bandages changed and cleaned, the nurses couldnt help but gawk at the massive animal-like bites all over her body. 

after 6 weeks of hospital stay, the human was released. 

she seemingly vanished from work. when diavolo took her into his car, she was never seen or heard from again.

Y/n breathed in the smell of flowers surrounding her. 

after a 6 week stay in a cramped room, she was happy to be in an open space. 

her body was still stiff. her leg had been hurt badly, her joint dislocated and healing in a weird position, making her limp slightly. her back had sealed up, she no longer wore bandages, and she just let her body run its course on them. a few had scarred over. 

the breeze tickled her face. it was cool and calming. 

it had been a total of 9 weeks since her hospital 'accident'. 

she had been in this house for a total of 3 weeks. 

diavolo had signed papers to make it seem like she went back to the human world. he had her position filled, her patients now being taken care of by an equally talented doctor, the Demon brothers even sent her a farewell card. 

of course one signature remained missing. 

she shuddered to think of him. 

beelzebub. 

she pushed him out of her mind. she was more than safe now. Diavolo had people looking for him, and she had top notch security at her new home. 

diavolo made the trip to see her every night. now she helped him with paperwork, annotating and righting down best courses of actions on treaty summaries. 

the only people, diavolo said, that knew where she was, was the council. 

Simeon, Luke, and Simon. they didnt come to see her to avoid attracting the attention. 

by all accounts, she was back in the human world. 

standing up, she grabbed the cane her doctors had told her to take home, and walked into her house.
