Everything happened in a blur. Bereaved. An infamous murderer stayed silent as the fresh blood of a childhood friend stained her raggedy clothing. Her hands a tad bit shaky from the previous atrocity that had occurred, not even moment before, being found at the scene. She could still taste his sweet blood on her thirsty tongue as a guard, of vampire descent, shoved Sunneva to the ground. As she fell to the iron floor in sight of the king and queen, the pit of her stomach began to ache for something other than food. Other than blood.

The shocked muttering filled gossip of the royal guests were immediately heard around the room. They stood on all sides of the wide and immense throne hall. Decked out in specks of gold and black from expensive jewels to daring clothing, they all threw shameful looks towards the culprit in the middle of the room. Some barred their fangs whilst others crinkled their noses up in disgust or laughed at the sight before them. Gold metal sconces held crackling flames, trying to warm up everyone's stone cold hearts. The fire jumped like an excited servant who was pleased to see its master. Though, the feeling was anything but mutual. Sunneva ignored the heavy urge to burn everyone to ashes right then and there. The white chain that wrapped around her throat slightly glowed a bright white light. Perfect. She thought as her mossy green eyes looked up at the bastard king's snickering daughter who sat in a smaller throne beside her parents. Just perfect.

"You know exactly why you're here, fire breather.." The king's voice echoed off of the ironed walls. Silencing every guest at once. His umber brown skin glowed in the light of the flames as his soot-black eyes held nothing but darkness and fury.

"Explain." He finished, his fists clenched and jaw tight.

Sunneva was about to throw out a joking remark before a torturous feeling of pain nagged at her stomach. Something she had never felt before in her life. Her shaky hands instantly pressed against her stomach as her eyes squeezed shut. The fire in the sconces that decorated the ironed walls of the castle's throne hall faltered and rose like a merry-go-round. The prisoner was still on her knees as her head began to feel like it being stabbed by a million needles.

"How dare you ignore your king's demand?"

The king's daughter rose angrily from her six foot tall silver throne. The color clashing with the black and gold that surrounded the room, yet matching her shoulder lengthened straight hair. Her diamond cut earrings dangled from her ears like icicles as the same kind of diamonds dangled from a 72 inch wide crystal and gold chandelier above them.

Still, Sunneva struggled to mutter out a single word and the guests looked amongst each other in a now cautious manner. The chandelier began to flicker with the sconces as a grim feeling filled Sunneva's nervous system. Letting out a slow exhale, her hands finally became steady before black goo shot out of her mouth like a cannon and onto the floor before her. The guests stepped back a bit then as the king's daughter plugged her own nose.

"Arsont, sit down." The queen spoke. Her posture still straight, trying the seem unaffected by what was going on in front of them.

Yet, Arsont ignored her, even with her nose still plugged.

"Explain, scum." Arsont spat out, even though the demand came out a little nasally.

Sunneva coughed up the last bit of the unknown black purge as the glow on the white chain around her neck began to dim. Her mind was no longer screaming at her as the unnaturally warm sensation in her body changed. Matching a sensation as cold as ice. The air in the room was no longer warm as well, for it too resembled the remarkably new temperature. A feeling the vampires absolutely despised. Arsont was taken aback and for once, had nothing clever to say as she unplugged her nose. Vapor was seen pouring out of everyone's mouths as they tried to think of something to do.
