I was 12 years old, born in Shinganshina District in Wall Maria and the Colossus Titan attacked. My parents were soldiers. They told me to keep running and not look back, but I did. I did run, but I looked back, and they were eaten.
They died protecting me, but guess what? I'm still here.
I joined the 104th Cadet Corps and there were so many people having an ego about being in the military, and some cadets looked at me differently. I didn't enroll in the corps because I was, "Ha ha look at me, I'm a badass motherfucker." It's about how I felt about the Titans being around for so long, and it's time they die.
I joined for the Military Police in 850 and while people said that it was a waste of time, I was joining because I want to make a difference, not drink, play cards, and be a lazy son of a bitch.
I offered to be an undercover officer and become famous for infiltrating gangs and illegal shipments. In order to walk the walk and talk the talk, I was trained to ignore pain, and I was trained to do one thing: to infiltrate criminal organization.
The things I've seen in this environment, it was brutal. I'm gangs, I've seen poor people beaten for money, food, or just because the thugs thought they were in the right of their beliefs.

You're a different version of yourself and you must commit yourself to the act because if you don't, you're basically giving away your position as an undercover officer, and I worked on that day and night, looking to be the best undercover cop of Paradis.
In 851, a year after the war between the Titans and the Survey Corps were finished, I was assigned to the Survey Corps for a special assignment: infiltrate Marley and its military.
For this assignment, I was given a new name: Jakob Hanns and new bio:
"I was born in Marley in 833. My mother was a designer and my father was a shoemaker with a military background. Wanting to make my family proud, I signed with the army and came out on top as one of the best recruits Marley has ever had. Now, I'm looking to join the group of Warrior candidates to learn how they operate and how they handle business with the enemy."
