I stand at the front gate starring at the school as the raindrops hit my umbrella and my phone constantly ringing and ringing.
My parents haven't really approved of me going to this school. However I told them I wanted to go here. They're still rather worried though.
Luckily they don't know what this school is specifically for..
I finally enter the school and turns out we're in the same classroom.
"Is that the new student?"
"Wow shes so pretty..."
"I want to get to know her.."
I hear chatter as I was being stared at.
"Oh calm your nerves dear classmates." I say as the room goes silent and I walk to my seat.
"L/n. Please come to the front" the teacher says as we walk up to the front of the class.
"You may introduce yourself." The teacher states.
"L/n y/n. I hope we can all get along." I bow as I smile.
"Ryota. Can you please show y/n around?" The teacher says as a brunette haired boy looks up from his desk. He had a tag around his neck.
I leave the classroom with this ryota and he introduces himself and shows me around and finally we arrive at an outside garden.
"This academy is wonderful." I say as I look around the garden.
"Uhm...L/n-san?" Ryota says as I look at him.
"Are you sure you are... Prepared for this academy?" Ryota says.
"Suzui-san..." I laugh.
"Ofcourse I am." I say as I smile.
"This school is all about gambling." I say
"I know." As I place a hand on ryota's back
"I-im sorry!" Ryota says.
"Mm?" I say looking at him slightly concerned.
I see his tag dangle and grab it to read.
'fido'
"What does this mean?" I say.
"...i-its a house pet tag...if you go in extremely strong debt...you're considered a house pet.. Fido for males and... Mittens for females." He says in slight fear.
I sense his fear. Ofcourse if you're a house pet, a lot would laugh and make fun of you.
"Suzui-san I think you're kind. So what if you're a house pet? I'd treat you like any other human." I smile.
Ryota looks at me. He seemed calmer.
"I'd love to find out more about this school. I really would." I exhale and smile.
We decide to head to a hall and see many many people gambling.
"Holy shit..." I say looking around.
"AHAHAH! I GUESS I WIN AGAIN!" A blonde haired girl with pigtails smiles cheekily at a gambling table as she eyes us and her smile drops a little.
"Well if it isn't the new student." She says as we walk up to her.
"You." The blondie points at me as she sits in her chair.
"Who are you?" She says.
"L/n Y/n. Pleasure." I bow.
"Hm.. an L/n? Interesting." She says as I hear others chatter.
"She's an l/n?"
"No way there's an l/n in our school.."
"Your family is known for money I suppose? Gambling?" She says. Not many people know how the l/n's have gained our money.
I giggle at the chatter of others.
"Fashion industry." I say in a high pitched tone.
"You're not a gambler?" She says.
"I'm fond of the rules." I say.
"I challenge you to a match." She says as she stares at me.
"L/n is quite intimidating. It gives me a good feeling." She says.
"Be careful" I smile cheekily.
She laughs.
"I'm Mary saotoma. Bring it on."
We sit at a table as Mary Saotoma instructs the rules.
We play a card game of simple rock paper scissors.
"2 chips." I say as Mary laughs.
"Fine. 2 chips." Mary says.
We play the first round.
Mary pulls a scissors as I pull a paper.
"I win." Mary says.
"Hm. 10 chips." I say.
"Oh? 10 chips it is." she places her chips on the table.
She pulls a scissors as I pull a rock.
"What good luck you have on your side L/n." Mary smiles.
I eye the people in the room and hear faint chattering.
"Mary Saotoma might win.."
"Yeah L/n only has a scissors."
"This is so intense"
I was known for my good ears.
What an advantage.
"100 chips." I say as most people in the room chatter even more and gasp.
"Oh? You think you're smart?" Mary says.
"100 chips." She says.
"I don't think I'm smart." I say.
"I have good ears." I look at her.
"Oh. You do?" She says smiling cheekily.
"And good eyes." I say as I pull a scissors as Mary pulls a paper.
Mary looks at me in shock.
"Nobody would ever talk so loud for contestants to hear. Even if it was an accident, they wouldn't be looking around so much." I say eyeing some of the audience.
Mary laughs.
"So you ARE smart." She smiles.
"I'm not smart." I say.
"I just have logic unlike your slavory and the way you force the housepets to cheat for you." I smile.
"The audience, mostly the housepets said things loud enough for me to hear. They said lies. They said Mary Saotoma would win because I had a scissors.
They tried convincing me you had a rock.
However I could tell they were lying. They looked nervous and kept looking at you like you would do something to them." I say as Mary looks at me in slight anger.
"It's all quite obvious." I smile.
"I must be going now." I stand up and leave the hall.
"It was fun playing with you Mary Saotoma." I say.
"I like this girl...I really do." A female voice from the back of the audience in the hall says.
