"What?" I was dumbfounded what did she mean overthrow agrona? isn't he like basically god in this continent?

"What did you mean?"

"Exactly what I said." She said her voice laced with sarcasm.

"Why?" This time it was my turn to be sarcastic.

"Cause he's a tyrant." She said it casually like its the most obvious thing in this world.

"And?" She raise an eyebrow at my statement.

"High sovereign or Agrona whatever it doesn't matter to me all that matters is that I don't get harmed in this whole shenanigans of yours." I said as I crossed my arms.

"Hmm not quite I expected from you." She said as she put her thumb and index finger to her chin.

"Arthur you don't have a choice whether you like it or not harm will come your way if agrona continue to rule this continent and soon will rule the continent dicathen." At this i went wide eyes at her statement.

Dicathen is going to be ruled by him? But he is viewd a god here i mean it wouldn't hurt to let him rule dicathen aslong as he doesn't harm my family there then its fine...

"What does agrona gain from ruling dicathen?" Seris smiled at this and elegantly elaborated.

"As you know Agrona was exiled from Epheotus which he didn't take it too lightly he became enrage he is not what he seems at the books that you read from the library's Arthur." I was shocken at her statement did she knew that im from dicathen? how did she know i read it from the library? or maybe I'm just being too skeptical.

"Argona is the type of person that gladly sacrifice alacrya for him to rule at Epheotus, he wouldn't care less what happens to his own people hell he doesn't even care for his own clan all he cares about is his vengeance and for him to rule." Seris said as her face turn to that of a disgust.

"What do you mean he doesn't care for his own clan?" I said as Seris took a deep breath like she's going to reveal the secret of the world.

"He experiment on his own people his own descendents i still remember being so foolish thinking the high sovereign was our true savoir, oh how wrong was i."

"I remembered clearly how I got turned as a lab brat." For once I realized that this girl was younger than me she was nothing more than a traumatized child being use for their own personal gains similar to my old life.

"How old are you Scythe Seris?" She looked at me like she has been shot by multiple bullets.

"Arthur did anyone ever taught you to never ask a woman her age?" Seris said as she put her hands to her chest like she has been stabbed.

"So your on your thirties?" I said as she gave me a glare.

"Watch your tongue boy. I may be being friendly with you but I can stil-" I cut her off by saying.

"Hmm I mean age doesn't matter when it comes to love right?" I asked with a grin.

I expected her to atleast tease me back as she did before but she didn't.

Instead she look like she has been told something sincere in a long time.

I had no plans on pursuing her when i grow up but looking at her now she was clearly single and inexperience but going out with someone like her possibly my future enemy due to her trying to fledged some sort of war, Then again i have plans to settle in after I finally grow strong enough to protect my family, And seris was probably in the same age as I was as Grey.

"Scythe Seris are you into younger boys?" I asked and she immediately became flustered seeing this side of hers is amusing.

"No. Arthur i have no plans on dating i have plans to destroy Agrona i have no time for dating." She said emotionless.

"Then after you did that what then?" she pondered a bit it would seem like this never crossed her mind.

"I guess ruling or guiding alacrya." She said in determination in her voice but her eyes betrayed her as she wasn't trying to get that rule.

"How about settling in with me after that 'little' syndicate of yours." I said she was caught of guard but this time she didn't blush.

"Regardless of what I do after the war what about you are you willing to participate in this war? if not then expect for you to be found by Agrona and become a lab brat for him and let your family be slaughtered by his men." I was spooked at her statement as she just smirk at response.

"Why? I thought I told you I no longer have a family." I said as Seris just shake her head while saying 'tsk tsk'

"Arthur next time you try to lie make sure its not me your facing." realization strike me.

she's the best sensory mage in this goddamn continent.

"Fine I'll join you in two conditions." she raise her eyebrow.

"Oh? and what might that be?" She ask her face look like she already know what I'm about to ask.

"I want protection for my family as of now you don't need to know who they are but once the war starts I'll tell you who they are and you will protect them as for the other one I want access to the relics found in the relictombs." The last statement truly shocked her she didn't know i was interested in relics and the relictombs.

"Can I know why you want access to the relics?" She ask this time her voice is filled with curiosity.

"Cause I wanna know how the ancient mages was able to create portals and this relictombs and I also want to know how they use magic aswell." I said I couldn't contain the excitement in my voice as Seris studied me carefully.

"Peculiar boy." Seris said with a smile on her face as she draws closer to me.

"I expect great things from you Arthur as for my side of the deal I want to train you along with Caera so that the two of you can be prepared in the relictombs." as she said she kiss my forehead.

I didn't blush this time cause it was not seductive like she did before this time I felt like she was my mother showing affection to her child.

I smiled at her as she parted her lips to my forehead.

I gave her a thumbs up and brightly smiled and said.

"Don't worry ill take care Caea when we go to the relictombs! and I also expect lot of relics so better be prepared for it!" She just chuckled at my childish behavior.
