The Life of Aries LaCroix

Aries LaCroix, a 16-year old boy from a well known family was sat at the dinner table with his closest friends; Elia Weasley, a loud and fiery girl who defended her friends and her family with all that she had, she currently stuffed her face with food made by Aries' mum, Amelia. Beside her was Vienna Berry, a half-blood witch who excelled in herbology- this knowledge came in use when the quartet discovered weed, the brown eyed girl used her extensive knowledge on plants to enhance the experience for herself and her friends, her lip was raised in disgust as she watched a piece of egg fall out of her ginger friends mouth. Aries chuckled at the girls, that despite their differences were as close as sisters, he turned to his left to look at the final piece of their puzzle, Simon Drayton, the dark skinned boy was easily the tallest in their year but his large frame did not resemble the quiet and shy boy he really was, throughout their five years in Hogwarts Simon had used Aries as some form of anchor to reality, always holding his hand when he felt nervous or intimidated. It was easy to see that the four of them were as close, as close can be, when at Hogwarts it was rare to see them without each other, and rarer still, to not see them without smiles.

Watching the teens were Aries' parents; his father, Gabriel, was a French born pureblood who worked within the ministry as a diplomat between the French and British Ministries of Magic, he came from an ancient French family who's name was respected throughout the wizarding world for their involvement in defeating Grindelwald. His mother was a British pureblood witch, named Amelia, who also held the respect of the wizarding community, her father, Newt Scamander was a renowned Magizoologist, and her mother, Porpentina Scamander (neé Goldstein) was an American Auror who was partly responsible for the capture of Grindelwald in New York. The two had adopted Aries in France, when the boy was only a few years old- Aries had been taken to France after an outbreak of the Black Cat Virus devastated a village in Korea. Aries was forever thankful that he had been adopted by his parents, and made sure to show them his love and gratitude everyday of his life.

Every now and then, something would brush Simons feet, the culprit made themselves known by jumping onto the table and purring loudly, Dream was Aries Bengal cat he had gotten in first-year, the cat was also known throughout Hogwarts for appearing in random corridors and demanding to be stroked, he was also known to be sighted in Professor McGonagall's classroom usually sat on the professors desk as she taught her class.

During his time at Hogwarts, Aries had found many things he loved, his favourite class was Transfiguration where his outstanding knowledge on the subject had earned him favour with McGonagall; another class he also excelled at was Astronomy, the only time he would be quite was when he was studying the stars, his eyes would widen and his body would relax as he took in the endless ocean of burning lights above his head. He was also part of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, playing as a chaser where he had become famous for his seemingly impossible goals. Another things that Hogwarts had made him release was that he was gay... extremely gay, since his third year, when the reckoning occurred, he had experimented with many, many, many boys, from different houses, different years he tried them all and wasn't ashamed to admit that he enjoyed it. The final thing he was introduced to in fourth year, and one of his greatest loves was weed, Vienna had pulled her friends to the top of the astronomy tower where she held out a joint of the plant, the four of them fell in love with the feeling of being free and soon began to make it a weekly thing, every Friday night they would wander up to the top of the tower and sit together as they smoked, sometimes they were joined by other housemates or friends from other years. 

In the whole of Hogwarts, there were only three guys that Aries could see a long-term relationship with; the first was Alastor Hammond, a green-eyed Ravenclaw boy who met Aries in first-year Herbology, the two of them had become closer and closer throughout the years and eventually started experimenting with each other, they shared their first everything together but Aries told him he didn't want a relationship, which left Alastor with no other option but to agree to be friends-with-benefits. The next guy was someone no-one would expect the bright, happy Hufflepuff to be with; Michael Nott, a cold-hearted Slytherin, Aries enjoyed the taller boys dry humour and deep conversations; Michael was the one Aries went to for, what he called, 'intense stress relief', and it was fair to say that Aries struggled to walk after a night with Michael. The final guy was Cedric Diggory, a year older than Aries and the only one to truly understand the complexity that is Aries LaCroix's mind, everyone around them could see the connection the two had- even Alastor could see it, though the thought of Aries with Cedric filled the Ravenclaw with a burning envy.
