This one is a bit long, but I think you will like it. Comment if you have ideas on where to take this story or how to improve it. This is my first time writing in English so any good advice is well taken.

Happy reading!

I'm not going to lie, the words that Dr. De Luca told me remained in my head, resounding at any given moment. The fact that she believes it was a mistake threw me off. I mean, I was not expecting her to love me or anything, but we are adults, we can take responsibility for our own actions.

To tell the truth, I was surprised at first, we moved all too fast, one hour she hates me and the other she has her tongue stuck in my mouth, like...make up your mind. All that confusion, though, went away fast when all that lust invaded us. Yes, US, because I'm sure she felt it too. For heaven's sake, she even gave me a hickey, she was clearly as into it as I was. Besides, she started all that...she was the one that offer to dance with me and the one who dragged me to the bathroom, and then all that was a mistake? Was she really that drunk? I mean, she remembers it, so she could not have been that drunk.

Part of me wants to avoid her, but a very tingly part of me wants to prove her wrong, wants to show her what she's missing on.

-So... no beef with Carina? – Andy asked me while we were accommodating the dummies for our annual CPR training.

-Apparently not. I haven't seen her since, but I guess we are all good now. – I replied shrugging.

-You are way too cool about it. I know you; I know you have a big ego, and this is the second time she hurts it. – she is not wrong – Are you really going to let her get away with that? –

-It's the mature thing to do – I said, trying to brush it off. I laid the last dummy in the matts that were scattered all over the fire station hangar.

Annually, Seattle Grace employees came to the station to renovate their CPR training. We are the ones that can provide the CPR certificate if they are able to pass the practical exam, hence the dummies. Normally nurses and a few interns come in for these trainings. Most of them already know how we do it, it's just protocol for them now. Some other are newbies that need more assistance, so we assign a firefighter to help just in case.

-How many are we expecting? – Andy asked

-Well, I'm not sure, the hospital didn't send a list like the last time. I guess we'll have to team the up if they are too many, or have two sessions. –

-Let's hope not. – She was right, if we get a call, we have to leave them with at least one of our team members which leaves us without a key component in our team.

-We are all set; I'm going to get a snack before the swarm of scrubs come in. – Andy said, leaving me alone in the hangar full of dummies.

This sight could be a scary one for those who did not work this field, but for us, all those dummies meant a slow and peacefully day but also, a well-trained personnel. Doing these training ensured that new doctors and nurses were prepared to intervene with someone fast and without hesitation.

-Are you contemplating life or just the silly dummies? – Her voice startled me. I was too deep into my thoughts that I didn't even notice when she came in.

-Something like that – I replied. She was standing a few feet from me. It was odd seeing her in her white coat and pink scrubs. The only few times I've seen her she was always wearing something casual.
