Nick Nelson ran and ran, stumbling onto his feet while he held a heavy bag full of money. He felt the bank owner grab onto his shirt, which made him lean forward before he fell eventually backwards. when he fell onto the ground, he turned over to see the man but he noticed he was gone. All he heard from the owner was his gasps and breaths.

He looked up to see the man who once chased him was now floating in the air with a blue light around his body. "help" the man whimpered, looking down at Nick. Nick just watched, standing up and ran away with plain fear. He didn't even know what was going on but he knew he was scared. He's never seen anything like this.

He ran to his small shed in the middle of the woods where he had everything hidden that he stole, with masks, wigs and guns he sometimes used. He breathed heavily as he opened the trap door that was built into the floor. He walked down the stairs and placed the bag of money in the corner with the rest. He then walked over to the other side of the small area to lay on the kid sized bed and looked up at the ceiling. He wondered if he was even awake. Maybe he just needed some sleep.

A young man with dark curly hair, walked around the town he was stuck in, looking around for his friends. He saw a two men fighting. or atleast one was trying to pick up a fight, it looked like the older man was about to hurt the younger one. So, he stared at the man with the black suit and dress pants, focusing on his body and only his.

His head felt like it was spinning, putting his hands to his sides to balance himself. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before leaning his head slightly down and then quickly opened his eyes to watch the suited man levitate into the air. He bit his lip in consecration, not paying any mind to the blonde teen.

When he dropped the adult on the ground, watching him roll onto his side he ran over before stopping halfway through. He didn't see the blonde boy anymore, he furrowed his eyebrows and looked around with confusion. He heard somebody call out his name.

“charlie!” the raven haired boy turned around. “what?” He sighed and looked towards the direction to see his best friend, Tao Xu. “you wouldn't believe it, Elle found somebody else!” Charlie looked at Tao with a smile. “what?” Char said, looking behind him to see the elder rolling onto his back and holding his broken arm. “yeah! come on!” Tao said with excitement, jumping up and down with a wide smile across his face.

As they ran Tao spoke to Charlie. “she seems really cool, her name is Darcy! She can run super fucking fast!” Tao exclaimed, soon meeting with Elle. She saw the rest of his friends standing in front of a blonde haired young girl. “this is Darcy” Tara said with a smile, her puffy hair moving gracefully when she turned her head to face Tao and Charlie.

Darcy waved at the two with a shy smile. “shes our age” Isaac spoke quietly, holding onto his dark green shoulder bag filled with books. Issac was always the quietest one of the group. “she one of us Elle said in a soft voice. Charlie smiled and put out his hand for Darcy. “im Charlie” the male said as Darcy shook his hand.

Tao looked at Darcy. “so...you could run fast? when did you find out?” Tao asked with a genuine smile. “um..I don't know. I kind of always had this power thing. I don't know, my parents never told me because they died when I was younger and now I live down here. On Earth” Darcy explained. “oh..im sorry to hear that” Charlie said. Darcy just shrugged, "I never really met them...so, um. i guess its fine, ive been able to survive this long" she smiled.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐓 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓

“we really need to find somewhere to sleep. the nature isn't the best place to sleep.” Tara said with a chuckle as she walked next to Darcy. “its called the woods. We were in the woods” Darcy said with a smile, running her fingers through her beautiful, soft blonde hair.

“oh” Tara said and looked at Elle. “how long have you been down here. On planet Earth?” Tara added. “a couple of years. It took me a while to adapt and know everything. My friend Imogen helped me figure everything out” She said with a smile, her hands now in her pockets.

“oh wow, that's pretty cool!” Elle exclaimed happily. “how did nobody find out?” Isaac asked, holding onto one of his books, reading the words in the dark. “well imo-”

They all turned around when they heard loud booms. “what is th-” Charlie said before somebody bumped into him, making him stumble back. “shit! I'm sorry” The male stood up and looked behind him. Tao looked at the four men running towards them in blue suits. “guns” Darcy whispered. “Guns!” she yelled, grabby onto Elle's and Tara's arms. “They could kill you” Tao looked behind at them, running forward and put his hand in front of him.

A gun shot. Tao snapped his fingers, his hair blowing in the wind slowly. He heard a slow gasp come out of somebody behind him. Tao swished his arms in front of him, a blue forcefield opening up around him and the group, including the random blond haired boy. Tao smiled and suddenly time went back to normal.

The random boy, held onto Charlie's arm. He gasped, looking at the fast bullet coming closer. Darcy looked at Tao and then Tara who nodded with a quiet laugh. Nick stumbled backwards out of fear. Tao held his hands to the side, keeping the forcefield around him, slowly running out of energy.

The bullet bounced off of the forcefield and went straight back to the men with the blue uniforms, hitting one in the chest. The blonde boy gasped, covering his mouth as more bullets shot at the forcefield and bounced back until each one of them were on the ground.

Tao fell to his knees on the ground, his hands holding him up as he breathed heavily, looking up at the men. The blonde fell back when everybody ran over to Tao to pick him up. “..wha..what just happened” the male breathed out. Charlie looked behind him to see the blonde. He furrowed his eyebrows and stared at him. Tao groaned, “at least you're alive” Tao whispered. “is he okay?” the blond asked.

“yeah..We just get exhausted after we use our powers” Charlie said before Issac nudged him in the stomach. “what?" Charlie said as Isaac picked up his book he was reading before.

“what's your name” Charlie asked, helping the group put Tao down on his feet. Elle wrapped her arm around Tao's shoulder.  “Nick...Nick Nelson. You have.... powers?” Nick said as he stood up and wiped his dirty hands on his jeans. He looked at the group. “yeah...you can't tell anybody though” Tara said, smiling at the boy.

“do you guys need somewhere to sleep?” He asked as he bent down to pick up yet another bag of money.
