⸻chapter three
the fast and the furious
♡
⸻AS PROMISED AFTER DROPPING MIA OFF AND WAITING 45 MINUTES, Dom still hadn't shown up so she made her way out, scoffing as she saw people drinking and having a good time. Wren drove around for a minute checking any and every place she could think of in hopes of finding him, anxiety crept up at the thought of Dom getting picked up by the cops, she wasn't sure she could handle another two years away from her best friend. He was one of the most important people in her life, it's hard going from seeing someone everyday to seeing them every few weeks and sometimes if they were lucky, they'd be able to talk on the phone every once in a while. But even then it was a short amount of time, she'd be almost in tears by the end of the call.Wren sighed when she realized she had accidentally driven too far out and was now in Johnny trans territory, Dom and Johnny used to be in business with each other but after Dom's dumb ass slept with the guys sister issues started to form and so they made a deal to stay away from each other, she wasn't exactly sure if that deal complied to her or not but she really didn't wanna chance it. Especially since Wren was alone with no weapons, having left her knives at home thinking it'd be a peaceful night, Tran tended to go everywhere in groups so if she ran into him she'd quickly be overpowered, she had no doubt about it.
She cursed under her breath when she heard the motorcycles, taking a turn she noticed a big building and decided to hide out behind it until they passed. 15 minutes passed by with no more noise being heard so Wren cranked the car to keep going, the worry still sitting in her chest. It wasn't long before she heard gunshots and something blowing up making her heart drop for a second, that couldn't be them could it? Regardless, she had to follow it.
