"Hey— ake— wake... CHRIS WAKE UP!!"

A loud girl screamed out to me while my eyelids opened up — adjusting to the sunlight hitting my face. After regaining my senses, I got up noticing the grass that I was laying on.

When was I even here...? I stretched out my arms and supported myself up by using my legs to stand.

"Sleeping beauty is no longer sleepy finally. Heheh~"

Ah... I must've fallen asleep while waiting for Crystal then.

This is Crystal, the social butterfly, AKA the complete opposite of me — is my best friend. We've been friends since we met in Kindergarten. Now we're in 5th grade and both 10 years old. I'd say the biggest part of our friendship is—

"Yea yea..~, I'm just glad I don't sleep in and have to be forcibly woken up out of bed for 30 minutes straight unlike someone I know~" I teased deviously at her.

"By the way, is this where you wanted to meet for our birthday?"

—Is how we both share the same birthday.

"Hehe~ Of course, it is! This is where I always go when I have time!" Her cheerful voice surrounded her with positive energy, cheeks perked up with her smile.

That makes sense, this place...

Surrounded by grassy plains, and trees behind us. Upfront was a view of the city we live in. The current of the winds blowing a soft breeze at us.

...It's perfect.

The relaxation of the scenery twisted my neutral, gloomy-looking face, into a bright smile of the sun.

We both may be opposites of each other, but we get along well. If we had to describe each other... it'd be the sun and the moon. She always said she'd see me as the moon, likewise for my gloomy appearance. However, the moon shines in its unique way, different from the sun.

Her way of saying how I'd shine in the most fitting way possible to my personality.

Despite that, she'd also bring up the comparison between me and glass. A window to one's soul. Once shattered, their true mayhem lets out.

Well leaving that aside, I refer to her as the sun for always easily being the crowd of attention. Her smile was as bright as the sun's light, unifying everyone with positivity and socializing.

To put it simply—

"What a secluded area, you act as the social butterfly but enjoy places like these? You're a weirdo."

—She's the social butterfly that shines bright everywhere it goes, just like the sun. Someone more... superior...

"If only I wasn't like this... maybe then I'd... is what you thought right?"

I looked around, gazing around my surroundings with my peripherals to see if anything was causing the sudden ringing in my ear.

Shut u—

"Pipe it down idiot. Otherwise you'll regret what you say to me in the future." I was lost and confused. Interrupted by this mysterious and echoing voice.

It was only me who's hearing it for sure. It hurt but finally, it went away. But what is this black mist surrounding me... it's cold and dark.

Ah... I'm not alone here am I?

I then immediately turned my head around and saw the same view as earlier. Only this time I was facing Crystal who began talking. "Call me weird all you want, but it's your fault for influencing the idea of having 'me' time you dumb bully." Crystal said, playfully sticking out her tongue at me.
