Chapter Four: Strong Hold

KUSHINA'S P.O.V:

It's been a few days since I watched my sochi fight in that war, I've never seen anything like it before and it scares me, I was worried for him. How can he be okay, he isn't the fighting type of person and with the Kyuubi, he might let it loose.

I shook my head, trying to get rid of those thoughts, if I know my Sochi, I know he will win this war, he will win this war for them and come back home, he said so in his book. I know I haven't been the greatest mother to him but I want to at least tell him to his face that I love him.

Minato: Kushi-chan, it's working again!

I heard my husband say again and I was instantly filled with worry and happiness to see my Sochi, even though I only see through his eyes. I ran upstairs and into the girls' room to see them both looking at the screen, which shows him at dawn with buildings on fire. 

He and the man I could only guess is his commanding officer were taking cover behind a building while under enemy fire. 

NARUTO'S P.O.V:

"Alright, Turner will be leading the maneuver element into the square! Our job is to lay down suppressive fire from that church. Any questions, Good!"

I only sigh at my Sargent's personality and our squad started the push towards the church. 

"I need cover fire on the left, everyone else flanks right!" 

He yelled out his orders to us as we went out to carry them out. We pushed towards a little alleyway on the right, taking fire from the house that was making up the alley. 

"Daniels call in some artillery!" 

Aiello then throws Daniels an artillery smoke grenade. Daniels then throws the grenade on top of the roof of the house, signaling the planes overhead to drop some bombs on it. 

"Covering fire from the left!" 

"Enemies on the second floor!" 

It was like a shouting match between Daniels and Pierson. Daniels laying down covering fire on the left while Pierson was shouting out enemy positions. 

I just took cover on the wall and let my M1 Grand speak to the enemy for me. 

"Daniels move in, I'll provide rear security!" 

I yelled over the gunfire to him, he nodded and moved towards the building. 

I stayed outside and dealt with the Krauts that were practically swarming the outside of the house that the team was clearing. 

"I guess this will be a bad time to tell you that your parents and family are watching what you see then?"

My loving girlfriend told me in my head, it made me take cover behind the wall for a second before I just chose to ignore it and get back to the task at hand. Eliminating the Kruat army. 

"Naruto come on, we're moving!" 

I heard from Pierson, who had called me from the side of the halved-bombed house, I moved from behind my cover and towards him and the squad. 

"Nice job on the rear security." 

I heard from Aiello, I nodded at him and we followed the Sargent to a town square-looking place, the church was on our right, heavily defended by the Germans who were surrounded by sandbag cover. 

"Alright boys, we need to clear the area before we move up to the church!"  

Sargent Pierson yelled. We took cover behind vehicles and torn-up walls as we let our weapons exchange fire with the Kraut army.
