All around the world, hundreds of millions of bodies lay everywhere, few fully intact. Monsters with their many limbs armed with shootable poisoned dart-like nails chased down the survivors, a fraction of the original Earth's population. Each one had to contribute in some way to their group to stay surviving, and yet one was not in a group, and unconscious on a school roof. Why? To that, we will find out.
For now, let's talk about the monsters and history. Worry not, it won't take long. Now, we start from the very beginning. Back in 2037, life was peaceful, with a substantial amount of advanced technology. But no government, nothing could have prepared Earth for the arrival of the monsters. Some called them the Purgers. Others called them Satan's minions. The most worldwide used name for them, however, were the ones that they introduced themselves as.
They were the Joys.
