Louise's story

chapter 4

Jensen walked over towards Ms. Haley and louis followed him. she was telling his father about horse things, "I see your kids have gotten into fjords, really such great horses. You should look into "MWFHC"." she informed Ramond. "Okay what's that?" Ramond asked her. "Mid-western fjord horse club." Haley responded. "I will definitely look into signing my kids up for it." Ramond told her. "I will go get them; we need to go home." "Okay, Bye!" Haley said back. The family went back to their car and went back on the bumpy forest covered road.  The 2 stallions overheard them talking about a show called turkey trotters show, and that the horses had to train a lot harder to win. "I'm going to win it!" Romeo said, "or not." Louis replied under his breath. they got home and let the horses out. Romeo greeted the mare with a whinny and a nose touch. She jumped back and pinned her ears back and reared. Louis scoffed and greeted her, yet this time she wasn't reluctant. Romeo eyed louis and nipped him as he walked by. "I challenge you to a race to the gorge" Romeo continued "Only, if you can jump the fence." Louis looked shocked. "Sure."  Louis said shyly. "Well then hurry up." Romeo retorted smugly. The 2 stallions raced up the fence, Romeo had a head start and wasn't going to let Louis get a lead. Louis was gaining on him. Romeo kicked dust in his eyes. "AHHRGG!" Louis neighed. He stumbled but quickly picked up his pace. They were Head-to-head, Hoof-to-hoof. Romeo prepared for a buck and kicked him right in the knee. Louis screamed. Romeo turned and ran back towards the barn. Louis was left limping through the valley all alone listing to the distant howls of coyotes. His eyes were clouded with pain, He needed to get back to his rider. He could hear the coyotes growing closer. He went as fast as he could. He got back to his stable and collapsed of exhaustion.
