IT HAD BEEN A FEW DAYS after detention and I was currently packing for the so called "business" my parents stressed that I must attend.
I finished with shoving a pair of socks into my suit case sitting on top of it attempting to shut it without my clothing and other items spilling out.
I pulled the zipper with all my strength, it reaching the end of its trail as a sigh of relief left my mouth.
I grabbed the handle pulling it off my bed as I had one more glance around the room before closing my door gently, brushing a lock of hair out of my face.
I spun around beginning my travel to the darkness of a home that I had always tried to avoid.
.
I stood at the dark gate entrance with dead vines wrapped around the cold metal.
I grabbed ahold of one of the bars hesitantly mumbling a quiet password under my breath creating the gate to pull open, welcoming me inside.
I walked down the stone path as the heels of my boots clicked against the ground after each step I took.
My body strutted up the steps stopping in front of the black tall door, glancing around my surroundings.
The house felt darker.. more eerie.
I hit my knuckle against the wood, quiet knocks erupting around me.
The door pulled open a small head peaking through the bottom of the door.
"Master.." my small house elf welcomed bowing down to me soon pulling the door open.
"Hello Deesy." I smiled stepping inside. I slowly bent down to her level giving her a gentle hug.
"Could you possibly make me a glass of tea?" I asked sweetly as she jumped up ready to fetch my order.
"Of course, Master!" She said rushing off towards the kitchen.
"Deesy." I said making her glance back at me "take your time." I said nodding as she smiled softly continuing to scurry off to the kitchen.
"Oh, my sweet daughter." My mom elegantly said, pulling me into a awkward hug.
"Mother." I said greeting her presence.
"I'm so happy to see you, your father will be so happy to know you've arrived." She said spinning around to walk to my fathers office, her heels echoing through the open house.
I grabbed my bag walking up the marble stairs heading toward my bedroom.
I opened the door glancing around the room that I hadn't seen in what felt like ages before letting out a sigh and sitting on my bed rubbing my hand over the soft green sheet.
A knock hit against my door as I mumbled a quiet come in.
"Arabella, honey." My dad said stepping into my room.
"It's nice to see your face." He said smiling.
"It's nice to see you too." I responded even though I knew deep down it was a lie.
"I'd like you to join me and your mother and a few guests for dinner tonight." He suggested even though I knew it wasn't an option.
"Of course, father." I nodded.
"Great." He said exiting my room.
I sighed standing up preparing to get ready.
