Chapter 10

Y/n's POV

You was stood in the bathroom at midnight, your heart hurt like hell, and it wasn't pleasant. You traced the markings on your chest from the spell. It was a medium sized ball with thin black lines emerging from it. You knew the more your spell broke your heart, the more the lines would get stronger.

You winced as you touched the centre of your chest, the pain was excruciating. You had to perform spells to ease the pain, which worked, but none of your spells broke it.

You covered it up with your pyjama top before sighing as you whisper,
" I'm not going to live 2 weeks,"

A knock on the door interrupted your thoughts,
" Y/n? Are you okay? You've been in there for a while,"

It was Lin. You walked out with a fake smile on your face, but it didn't faze Lin. She crossed her arms,
" Whats the matter? You was in there for 20 minutes,"

You sat on the couch before lifting your knees up to your chest and resting your chin on your knees. Lin knew that expression and sighed,
" Alright, what's wrong? Somethings bothering you,"

You sniffled, trying to fight your tears, but you was expecting this and yet it still hurt. You pulled I bit of you too down brought show the mark that's slowly spreading, but not enough to show to much.

She gasped in horror as you spoke,
" The spell is affecting me more quickly now, I'll have about a week left,"

Lin began to silently cry,
" There's got to be a cure, anything! Please don't go, think about me, think about your sister, think about Haku, you're really just going to give up!"

Her heartbreak soon turned to anger, she got up and crossed her arms,
" I bet you haven't even told Haku, have you?"

You shook your head as tears emerged from your eyes. Lin scowled but her tears still formed,
" If you don't tell Haku about this in two days, I will!"

She ran out the room, trying to not to burst out in tears before slamming the door behind her, causing you to flinch slightly. You knew she wasn't mad at you just upset.

The worst thing was how were you going to tell Haku that your close to death, just by thinking about it hurts you. You checked the time and noticed he'll be back from his mission any minute now.

You quickly wiped your tears before wiping your face, trying to get rid of your tear stained cheeks. That succeeded since you look normal now.

The balcony door was heard opening as you placed your drawing stuff on the top shelf, which you used your telekinesis for because you were quite short compared to the cub hoard.

A strong pair of arms came from behind and wrapped them around her waist before pulling her into their chest. You giggled as Haku snuggled his face into the crook of your neck,
" Busy day I see? "

He nodded in response as you turned around to get a proper look at him. His hair was quite messy with a few scratches on his cheek with one on his lip. You sighed at the cuts before healing them with your magic.

You hugged him tightly, as if this was the last time you saw each other. He hugged back as you was quick to realise how exhausted he was since he was leaning on to you quite a lot.

You helped him over to the couch and led him down with a comfy blanket on top. He smiled as he tucked a piece of hair behind your ear,
" I love you Y/n, you know that right?"

You smiled, but it pains you at the thought of seeing him breakdown,
" I love you to, Haku. Now get some rest, your tired,"

He nodded before closing his emerald green eyes. His soft breathing filled the silent air as he fell asleep straight away, the relaxation making him feel at peace.

You smiled as another pain strike hit you like a wave. You fell of the couch and onto the floor, being careful not wake up Haku. You couched lightly as the pain increased, you could feel the marks slowly growing on your chest.

You looked down into your top to see the marks have in fact increased. They were close to touching your collarbone and have gone halfway down your breasts. You gulped nervously as the spreading stopped along with the pain.

You whispered,
" What am I going to do? "

You remembered what Lin said, about not giving up, and you decided to do everything you can to stop the spell. You got up and went over to the nearest bookshelf before searching for spells.

You rooted through page after page, but couldn't find the spell your mother placed on you. A few hours later, you was on your 20th book and still haven't found a single thing about this spell.

You were in the middle of the 3000 page book before a page caught your eye.

Love or die spell

This can be specifically only for the royal witch family to cast, since they're so powerful. If a regular witch tries this spell, she'll die. This spell allows someone to slowly perish by falling in love, and it can't be stopped.

But there are rumours there is a cure, you'll just have to find it out yourself.

You hummed in thought as you mumbled,
" So there is a cure, I just have to find it, but who could I ask?"

You thought for a moment before gasping quietly at an idea,
" I know, I could ask Father! I'm sure he'll know something about the cure,"

You slammed the book shut as you placed them all back on the shelf at the other side of the room. You kissed Haku on the cheek,
" I promise I'll get a cure, no matter how far I'll go, I'll save myself and we can live happily together, "

You kissed his forehead before running out of your room and towards your parent's room.
