A/N: it's my first time here in Wattpad so I wish everyone will be good to me

Note: this is my first story that I've ever worked on so please cut me some slack if this did not turn out good

Standing amongst the crowd was not new to me

I was always with some random group that pulls me in because they think I'm the social butterfly or something

I mean I am great with the crowd but I'm getting uncomfortable the more I was purposely dragged into something I'm not even supposed to be part of

What I'm not used to is being forced outside of the school into the hot open field in a sunny day...

In September?!

There was a massive school gathering but the gym's lights were suddenly broken for unexplainable reasons so they resorted to having us stand under the hot sun

The speakers begun to let out a light static sound

There was a faint tapping on the microphone before the principal started to speak up in a calm and sweet tone

"Blessed day my dear students, I would first like to congratulate our soccer team for bringing us yet another championship trophy"

She started her speech as she looked over at a couple of students gathering over the soccer team and cheering for their victory

I watched as they carried their captain in the air and proudly showed the golden trophy in his hand

I rolled my eyes as I scoffed at their cockiness as they waved the trophy in the air

I turned to focus my attention at the short woman who started to continue her statement as the mic came closer to her lips

"Hush down students" she said in a serious tone
as the speakers amplified her voice

Everything went silent as all turned their heads towards the principal

"As I was saying, I would like to announce that an upcoming school festival would be held outside of the school grounds.

It may sound strange, or weird, to you that we're having this outside of school but it's a community fund raising event for the local nursing homes and they need our help to gather up some funds for their next project

I entrust you the duty of deciding what booth you will showcase for this event. It will differ by grade and you can ask your homeroom teachers for the theme for your respective grade

That is all. Thank you for your time. And again, congratulations to our champions!"

She ended her speech with a smile and a simple wave as she walked back towards the school building

My "friends" and classmates looked at each other and was ready to plan the booth when our teacher, Ms. Pam interrupted them and told us all to get inside

Loud murmurs and chattering filled the halls as we made our way back into our classroom

I found myself exchanging smiles with some of my classmates before going back to my usual seat on the middle of the third row

"If you have any suggestions, please speak up" our class president started to say, his loud voice echoing through the room
