episode six: The mesteriouse child.

After what what seemed like hours, the women heard the door bell ring. Kat opened the door and clara saw a tall man, not as tall as dozie came inside.
James! Kats darling husband.

"Aww, Good afternoon darling" kat greeted embracing james warmly.

"Good afternoon my angel how are you? " James replied.  Clara watched the couple and felt a lump in her heart, imagine dozie holding her like that and calling her his angel, it would have been so nice. It's been long dozie held her and told her he loved her, clara felt bad.

"Hey, clara, is that you?" James asked on sighting clara who was watching them.
"How are you?" He asked.
"I am fine" clara replied.

" Pardon I didn't see you, this naughty friend of yours did not tell me you came" James said referring to kat who playfully gave him a knock on the head.

" Monkey head! Clara don't mind him, please give me a minute let me take him upstairs, we will be back shortly" kat said

" Alright"clara replied. She watched as james held kat by the waist and they went upstairs laughing and chatting.

It was lunch hour and clara and the family all settled down to eat. It was a  delicious delicacy of  jollof rice and chicken. The silence they kept while eating was broken by Zitel, kats second child.

" Mummy Nene's chicken is bigger than mine"

" That's a lie! Yours is bigger! Nene replied.

"Enough you two" kat shunned them and they were quite.

"Don't blame the kids honey, my chicken is also small right boo-boo? "James said playfully looking at boo-boo who nodded childishly and everyone laughed wholeheartedly.

" Hmm this food is delicious..... My sweet wife is the best Cook in the world"james admired kat.

" Eat darling"kat said shyly.

" I am eating, but I can't stop admiring the good work of my beautiful wife. " James replied and kat smiled. Clara watched the happy family, the beautiful children and the lovely romantic couple,kat was blessed among women,so clara thought.

"Thank you for the meal kat, I appreciate."clara told kat as she was about leaving.

" You are always welcome my dear sister, please take care of yourself, don't let dozie's character and that of his mom weigh you down, I am sure that one day, dozie will realize his mistake" kat told clara.

" Thanks kat" clara replied.

"You are welcome, please if you need anything, don't hesitate to let me know okay?"

"Alright kat Thank you" cat replied and entered her car while kat waved behind.

As soon as clara got home, she opened the door to find dozie in his usual sitting position.

"Were are you coming from?" He asked.

"Somewhere" clara replied casually.

"You went to your Friend's house?"

"Yes I did", kat replied.

"Clara you left this house since morning, to stay at your friends place? Wait a minute, so you now tell your friends about us right?

" I didn't say that.......

"Allow me to talk before I give you another slap you idiot! how dare you talk about me and my mom outside? are you mad?you now go around talking about your marriage right?"

" Dozie look! I am tired of this your nagging! leave me alone!" Dozie slapped clara and shook her violently and pushed her to the floor. She hit her head on a hard stool and she began to sob.
