A light was turned on. Someone was pacing inside the room. Another person was seen sitting and looking at the first person. Both had worried expressions. They were worried for their life, their security and moreover their child's life. Whether it was right or what they were doing was gonna backfire.
Afew days ago they got a letter from someone. It was about their only child, their everything ,their love Athena.
At first it felt like it was a joke and that a prank was played on them. Something vile like magic couldn't be real. It shouldn't be. But it was. Also their daughter was a part of it. They have already lost someone because of it. They didn't wanna witness it again.
It was all a lot bigger than they were imagining. Their daughter had a more important role than they could ever imagine. They loved her to bits and weren't ready to give her up.

They at first decided to never show or tell their daughter about that world, where as per the vicious letter she belonged.
But it felt wrong to them. It felt like they were keeping her away from things. Things that were important to her not them.
They needed to tell her.
They had made their decision.
"Honey, there is something we want to give you." Lucia spoke as they settled to eat their dinner.
"What mum?" Athena spoke.

Athena would never say she was pretty but even as a mere eleven year old she charmed everyone. Her light green eye color made her eyes pop. But her smile was the most precious, it made people feel warm and when she smiled it felt like everything was going to be alright.

Her parents quickly glanced at each other making her frown and look at both. Her father stood up and went near the cupboard in their living room. He opened the top drawer and took something out. He came back and sat down. He handed the letter to Athena who looked more confused than ever.
She looked at the letter and her parents waited for her reaction. It was unnerving, the silence. After a few more minutes her mother went to open her mouth when Athena started laughing.

In between laughs she spoke, "I - I am a what?" She looked at her parents thinking they would laugh too but stopped when she saw how serious they looked.

"Umm- It's a joke, right?" She asked. "Magic doesn't exist, right mum?" She pressed on 'doesn't' cause how pathetic was it to think it existed. She was happy in her normal life. Her parents loved her and magic didn't exist.

But she wasn't so sure when her mother asked her to read the letter.

She then saw a list attached to it all written about the required uniform and books. She was too stunned to speak. Did this mean she was a wit- Her thought was interrupted by her parents.

"A professor is going to come tomorrow to show us where to get the required things and how this all works." Her mother said as she smiled at her daughter reassuringly. Athena's birthday was on 7th Feb. It has been months since she turned eleven.

"Mum, you don't think this is real right?" She asked again trying to ensure this was real. She couldn't believe it. Her and her friends would say weird and gibberish things and point small woods at each other and think they were doing magic.

If it was all real she would even get a wand. Her own wand. She quickly checked whether it was written in the requirements section. It was. But then also it all felt a bit too out off space.

"Athie , its true, its all real." Her father gave the answer. He stood up and went again towards the same cupboard. He brought some photos. He showed it to her. She was awestruck, it was a moving picture. She has never seen something like that. In the picture she saw her father and mother smiling with two more people. Both people had blonde hair. The four of them looked so happy.

"Who are they?" She asked her parents. Her mother looked like she would break-down anytime.

"They are our friends dear, both are witch and wizard." Her father spoke as her mother was trying to stop herself from breaking down. Athena went near her mother and hugged her.

"Its ok mum, don't cry, are they not ok?" She asked and regretted as her mother became tense. Idiot. Athena thought. Why did I ask that?

"He is but she isn't." He pointed at the women. She was really pretty.

"Pandora Lovegood."

Her father told how they met and how they got to know magic existed. Pandora Lovegood died when her daughter was just nine. It was really sad to bear a loss at such a young age. As per her parents ,the Lovegood's lived at a place where magical people lived. Athena was sorry but ecstatic too that she already has someone of her age to be friends. But then also magic was real really made her feel eerie. But she believed it now. She was herself magical.
