I was making my way through the corridors of st. Freya. Currently I was trying to skip my biology lesson without being noticed. Now, you may think why would I skip lessons? It's because I don't care about my studies, some subjects just seem so pointless to me. For example why would I need to know what phospholypid is?? Information like this will not give me anything useful for life, it will not form my personality, neither will I use it in everyday life in any way. As I was walking through the silent corridors, I was thinking of what my future will probably be as a valkyrie. Right now I'm a B-rank valkyrie, from certain age it's been my dream to become an S-rank valkyrie, and I'd like to make that happen, but the studies are so demotivating that I'm starting to doubt if I'll ever actually make it there. If only we didn't need to have such pointless subjects like physics or biology, it would make my dream coming true easier. You may be thinking why I'd like to be an S-rank valkyrie, well, there are more reasons, one of them is that I'd like to help people across the world fight honkai and win the war we are leading against it, that is mostly because when I was a child, my family nearly died by the claws of stupid honkai beasts. It happened on a nice summer day, I was about 7 years old and me, mom and dad were having a picnic near woods close to our home. We were just enjoying ourselves, eating delicious food, but then the terrible incident happened, from the forest emerged a large group of honkai beasts, they were marching at an incredible speed towards us. My young self panicked as I saw the horrified expressions of my parents. Dad pulled me up to my feet and we started running as fast as we could, but what fate didn't want, my mom tripped and before she could get up, the beasts caught up to her. "(M/n)!" Dad screamed in fear for her life, we both thought this was the end of her, but that's when she appeared. Lance launching into the honkai beast closest to my mom, a knight heard our cries and rushed to help. It was the infamous S-rank valkyrie known as Durandal. I watched in awe as she tore apart the huge group of honkai beasts like they were made of glass. When she was done, she came over to my mom, lending her a hand and helped her to her feet. That was the second reason why I wanted to become an S-rank valkyrie, because of her. Becoming an S-ranker made my chances higher of getting to work with her, which was and still is my dream.

I shook my head, trying to focus on the task at hand, getting away from my classes unseen. I was about to be free, as I was nearing the huge exit door of our school, when I heard voice calling behind me "(y/n), get back here!" It was the principal, dammit, I was about to run for it, but I felt a hand grip my arm and pull me back, I took a look at who it was, the class monitor, Fu Hua. "Let me go!" I shouted struggling to get out of her grip. "I can't do that, sorry (y/n), principal's orders" she said while dragging me back to the principal, damn, how was she so strong, she's only a rank higher than me! "(Y/n)! What have I told you about skipping your classes!" The principal started to lecture me, annoyed, I shouted back "leave me alone, as if stupid mitochondria will ever be useful to me, I'm trying to become a valkyrie, not a scientist!" "Being a valkyrie means knowing more than just fighting, if you keep skipping your biology lessons, you might miss on how to help injured valkyries if needed" Theresa said, trying to keep calm. I sighed, she was right, but still, why did we need to learn all the useless stuff? "I understand, but I still don't get why we learn all the useless stuff, why not only learn how to help injured valkyries, why do we have to know all the things around it?" "It's best not to think about these things (y/n), that's just how it is" I stayed quiet, not knowing what to say, how can I not think about this? Afterall it's me who has to learn the pointless stuff, but it's not like she'll understand.. "but I'm still not proud of you for trying to run away from your responsibilities, I can't just leave that be, so you will train even after lessons end for a month, starting today" "a month?? Are you serious, isn't that too much??" I said in disbelief "I think it's just adequate, afterall it's not the first time you're trying to run away from your responsibilities" well, she's not wrong, it's far from being the first time, but still, a month seems like too long.. "well then, let's get you back to your class, you're only missing out by staying here" were Theresa's last words before she turned around and started walking in the direction of my biology class while Fu Hua started dragging me along. This place is pure hell..
