As the sun began to rise, warm rays of sunshine gently shone through the curtains. In his bed laid Felix, holding a small kitten between his arms as he laid silently under the sheets.
He'd just woken up, and although the waking to a new morning usually brightened his mood, he couldn't help but feel down. The end of his tail swished nervously as his ears twitched. He couldn't help but feel... fear? His thoughts wondered back and forth as he thought of what the "creature" could've been. During the previous night, he'd had a hard time falling asleep.
'Perhaps the creature was watching him before he noticed it?' he thought to himself. If it had, then he feared it could lead to only the worst.
He sighed, as he got up to change his clothes. Perhaps in hope to distract himself from the situation. He changed into quite formal clothing, as he usually did. He then tied his hair into a small ponytail, as he blinked away the rest of his sleepiness. After getting ready for the rest of the day, he turned to see the kitty still silently asleep on the bed. A small smile formed on his face as he went over to give the kitten a kiss on the forehead. As he did, he gently said, "Good Morning, Eliza." The kitten remained asleep, but for a few seconds began to purr. Felix's smile deepened as he quietly exited the room while leaving a charm to where no one could enter the room unless he were with them.
As he made his way to the dining hall, many angels and others passed him as they greeted him like an old friend. Perhaps, he was such a thing. Although, he was never able to recall meeting them before... he'd woken from his "sleep". As he entered the dining hall, a burst of multiple aromas drifted out of the doors. Felix's tail twitched with delight as he walked in. Angels continued to greet him, some of them even stood up. As he sat down with a few angels he knew best, he began to plate his food.
As he finished plating his food, before he took his first bite a rather tall angel began to approach him. He immediately noticed the angel at sight and his ears pointed up as he smiled with delight.
"Kairo!" he exclaimed. As the angel approached, he too, smiled. "Good morning Felix, I hope you rested well last night." Kairo replied. The angel took a seat beside Felix after a few angels beside Felix had easily moved over to give Kairo a seat. Felix's tail wagged with delight as angels behind him smiled at such actions. As Kairo began to plate his food beside Felix, Felix watched in awe.
Kairo was one of the first angels Felix'd met when he had awoken from his "sleep". From the moment Felix saw Kairo, Felix had always taken Kairo as an example on what he needed to do and how he should act. Of course, while still having his own unique behaviors. As Kairo began to nearly be done with plating his food, Felix studied Kairo's different features. He always noted how Kairo's eyes were each different colored. One being a hazel color while the other a bright blue. Felix was always fascinated by his pupils as well, and how rather than his pupils being narrow or rounded they were shaped as fires. Constantly flickering and moving around like a true fire. Another thing Felix liked to take into note about Kairo was that, he too, had a dragon tail like himself. This was one of the many reasons Felix had been inspired continuously by Kairo.
After Kairo finished plating his food, he noticed how Felix was staring at him. A soft smile spread across his face as he said, "Is there something you need Dear?" Felix immediately snapped back to Earth as he looked away in embarrassment. "Ah, uhm.. No there isn't, sorry for staring." Felix apologized as he quickly went back to his food. Kairo smiled as he nodded. "Whatever you say then Dear." he said.
After a while, many began to finish their food. Soon, the dining hall became quieter until it was only Kairo and Felix left. As Felix went to put away his dishes with Kairo, Kairo led Felix to the garden. At first, Felix was confused on why but didn't mind it much as he trusted Kairo alot. After the two men sat down on a nearby bench between patches of orchids, Kairo made Felix look at him. "Is there something bothering you Felix?" Kairo asked. Felix's eyes widened in shock, 'Had he really noticed how I felt?' thought Felix. Felix smiled at Kairo's concern as he replied, "Ah.. It was truly nothing much Kairo. Just... a little fright from last night." Although Felix's words were meant to reassure Kairo, it only worried him more. "Felix, there's no need to hide anything."
Kairo's comforting words and silky, comforting tone, put Felix at ease. He took a breath in, preparing to inform Kairo about what had happened the previous night before he glanced behind Kairo to see the same entity from before. It hung on the balcony. His balcony. Felix's eye widened with sudden panic as he shot up from his seat, recalling that his cat, Eliza, was still in there. Imaging what the entity may do to Eliza, he unconsciously began to make small steps towards the direction of his room, the steps soon turning into a jog and the jog transitioning into a full sprint. Felix was fast, perhaps faster than most celestial entities. He heard the faint calls of Kairo behind him, fading as he continued on. He failed to stop. Failed to stop himself from going on. Soon enough, he was at the front door, panting as he opened the door. "Eliza?" called out Felix, his tone had fear, masked with the adrenaline. His eyes hovered the room, searching for his cat before suddenly he heard a faint whish as he suddenly began to pass out. His vision became blurry, and as he dropped to his knees he caught a faint vision of Eliza, standing beside the entity as they both watched him. The event wasn't what terrified him, but it was the faint familiarity of the entity that did. He feared the worst.
Perhaps, they were here to kill him. An enemy from his past life.
