Telling the taxi driver the location, Russia was dropped off at the bar. Opening the car door he paid the driver and took his way across the parking lot, soft snow crunching underneath his feet, much like in the morning. Germany and Czechia were standing together by the door of the bar, soon spotting Russia, who was heading towards them.

"Guten Abend, Russland! We're just waiting for two more people!" Germany smiled, explaining a few things afterwards- Russia just nodded in response, his mind automatically filtering out a few boring details.

Poland eventually showed up and soon after, Canada.

Canada? Russia was in all honesty surprised- although his knowledge on the countryhuman was limited, it surprised him that the other here. He had never taken Canada as one to drink.

"Well let's go inside, now that everyone is here!" Germany said, heading inside of the bar, the others following him inside.

Russia walked beside Canada awkwardly, trying to think of something to say.

"So, never took you for one to drink?" Russia says as the group seated at a table for six, Russia and Canada seated beside each other.

"Oh, yeah. I guess I don't seem like a 'drinker'," Canada replied, turning his gaze to the side. Russia fell silent, his gaze now settling onto Canada's face. He looked... oddly tired, and nothing like the happy, energised countyhuman he saw earlier.

"But then again, people are full of surprises, aren't they."

"Да, I guess so," he said, a waiter soon coming up to the table, taking everyone's orders. Focusing back onto Canada, he looked... strangely nervous too, anxious, perhaps? Is he alright? Maybe... maybe something happened. Russia's lips pressed into a thin line, coming up with small talk to try and theoretically get Canada's mind off of whatever he was thinking about.

After sometime the drinks and bottles they had ordered came by, stopping the idle chatter Russia and Canada were having, but Russia didn't mind, because it looked like his plan had worked- Canada was smiling and laughing, and not fidgeting awkwardly.

Taking a shot of alcohol, a small smile held upon Russia's lips, "I enjoy talking to you."

Suddenly, Canada's head whirled around to look at Russia.

"What? Why?"

"Why? Because you're gentle and-" Russia started, unable to stop himself before he was interrupted by Canada giggling.

"Oh, don't laugh at me," he says, feigning offence at the laughter.

"Sorry," Canada laughed, "you're really kind, contrary to popular belief."

Kind. Russia thought, Canada thought he was kind.

The rest of Russia's face turned red in embarrassment, "Wha- Well I can be kind- but that- I- what?"

"At least you can admit it," Canada laughed, "that's good."

"What?" Russia echoed, confused.

"That you can admit you have a soft spot." Canada said, smiling again. Russia too, was smiling- for the short amount of time Russia has interacted with Canada, he has probably smiled more than he ever has. Strange, his mind noted in the back of his head.
