"I wish I had a magic lamp so I could use my wish to make all the hardships disappear and we could all live a happy life," Mary said. Her mother leaned down and tilted her chin up, facing her daughter. "Mary, we all wish for that but I must tell you something," Her mother said. "Don't wish hardships away. They're there for a reason. No matter how much it can hurt you, it will teach you a lesson. If you want to solve a problem, do it yourself. Work hard for it and prove that you deserve happiness. Don't count on magic lamps to make your wishes come true. Things like that are unpredictable and come with a price. If you have a goal and are willing to work hard for it, you will definitely succeed. If you want to make a wish come true, you must do it yourself."
