Missing Friend

Its now 10pm, I'm waiting for him to text me. Then my phone buzzes, I open to see a Youtube notification. Manlybadasshero? I'll watch it later.
Ironically he does horror games.

I get up to go to the bathroom when the phone buzzes again, i go to look at the notification.
Coop- hey we're about to leave, it's a half hour drive.
Me- half hour? What if one follows you in emergency?
Coop- it can't be faster than a car lol
Me- could be it it had large arms and walked on all fours.
Coop- well that would be a problem, I'd just hit the pedal since there's no police to pull me over and I have a good enough reason to speed.
Me- but your not supposed to be out in the first place?
Coop- ...right, no one would see tho
Me- fair enough
Coop- everyone has their blinds down cause of those alternates
Me- how will you defend yourself?
Coop- bringing my shotgun >:)
Me- they don't stand a chance lol, wait why do you have a shotgun
Coop- dad used to live on a farm so when he died I got the gun, lisenced as well.
Me- just text me every 15 minutes OK?
Coop- yeah yeah
10:30.

I go to the bathroom then sit on the sofa next to Fox.
"it gets boring sometimes" he says.
"weren't we supposed to close the blinds incase they saw us."
"oh shit, right." i say, closing the blinds
"hopefully nothing saw us" i say sitting back down.
It's hot today.

"I bet in the future, if this is still happening. You'd like, be able to order pizza and they'd come armed. Or there would be like an agreement of peace between alternates and humans and there'd be like people out there saying 'alternate lives matter!' on twitter or something" he says, I laugh. "I mean, if alternates became more peaceful then maybe I'd like a friend one, they aren't human so there's nothing much to worry about in socialising" I say.
"in your dreams" Fox laughs and ruffles my hair. i feel my phone vibrate.

Coop- we're here
Me- just be careful
Coop- we will, heard a scream when we got out the car. We're in the woods so it might've been a fox, was definitely not human so.
Me- don't come haunting to me if you die OK.
Coop- lol, I'll haunt ya but I won't complain.
Me- remember to text me!
Coop- I will!

I look up at Fox
"you wanna go out with me?" I ask
"I mean I'm flattered but we barely know each other." he says
I burst out laughing, he looks confused.
"what?" he asks
"I meant to the shop!" I say in between laughs.
"oh!" Fox starts laughing too, his face going red.
We laughed for a bit.
"I didn't know you were gay?" I say
"oh, yeah. I thought I could like come out or something ha." he says
"well I support ya, been questioning my sexuality since 15 so." I say.
"wait how old are you again?" Fox asks.
"I'm 19, what about you?" I ask
"I'm 18" he says
"anyways, shop?" I ask
"but I don't think we-" he cuts off
"I have a motorbike, plus I know someone who would even work in these conditions." I say

Me-Hey Michael were coming to your petrol station to stock up, bringing my roommate and pepper.
Michael- oki, I'll make sure to give pepper a walnut :)
Me- thanks Mike your the best, Pepper will be thankful

"I've never ridden a motorbike before" Fox says putting on the extra helmet I keep.
"just hold onto me and you'd be fine, put on this leather jacket" I say while putting on mine.
"uh, why?" he asks
"incase we have an accident, the leather is thick and you will most likely come out with a couple of bruises and scratches if it's slightly medium." I say
"medium in accident?"
"yeah"

I put the key in the ignition and get on the bike, Fox sits behind me holding my waist and pepper is in between my arms.
I pull the handle and steer the bike forward onto the road, I still check for cars even if there isn't anyone out. As we go fast on the road, I feel Fox grip tighter and he wraps his arms around me like a hug. I laugh.
"HOLD ON TIGHT" I say speeding up slightly.
"WHAT?"
"I SAID HOLD ON TIGHT!!!!" his grip tightens.
