NEW YEAR SPECIAL!

I come out of my room for party food, it was 11 pm, just one hour until the new year. It was just me, fox, Jackie, Michael, Twig, Bee, Max and Bean but it still counts as a party!

We sat around waiting for the hour to pass, we were on our phones watching tik tok or scrolling through twitter.
Until it hit half past, we put on music. Things like Harry Styles, Lovejoy, Melanie Martinez, arctic monkeys etc played out loud. We didn't even care if it attracted the alternates, at least we'd die in style. The curtains were closed and the lights were off, the room only lit by LEDs that were barely visible from the outside. But the house was still slightly loud.
Nothing can hurt us on this night.
I hug Fox from behind, kissing his cheek.
"No kisses until after midnight!" He exclaims.
"Uuuugggghhhh, can I at least love you!" I say, resting my head on his shoulder.
"Yes, but no kissing until it's turned midnight."
"You've already said that!" I laugh.
"Why is the kissing thing even a thing?" I ask.
"Probably because it means good luck or something for the next year?" He says.
"Maybe." I say.
Michael stands up looking at Jackie.
"There's something we have to tell you." Michael says.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Me and Jackie are dating." He says.
"Oh my god! I'm so happy for you!" I say, I hug Michael.
"So are we all kissing someone after midnight?" Fox asks.
"I guess." Jackie says.
"What about Twig?" I ask.
"I'll be fine, you people have your fun. I'll party with Bee, Bean and Max."
"I say we have a group hug after so Twig and the others don't feel left out." Jackie says.
"Yeah!" I say.

The clock strikes midnight, i kiss Fox softly. Michael and Jackie kiss too. Then we all gather around and hug. Even Bean, Bee and Max were involved. I felt Pepper too. "I love you guys so much, we made it to 2023 guys! We should feel accomplished!" I say.
We party until 5am, then we go to bed. It was a great night.

(I'm sorry it's short, it was kinda rushed because I was trying to get it finished an hour before new year's! Thank you all for making me happy, I was shocked when this story started getting a lot of views. I was so happy. I'm sorry for not being able to update but I've got a lot going on, I hope you all understand. But I hope you all have had a great year and i hope it carries on to next year. If you've done bad it is the opportunity to change. If you're not doing so great, just know that someone out there cares about you, and one last thing before I post this. LOOK. AFTER. YOUR.
