Chapter 8

Owen's POV

"Hello?" A voice sounds from the speaker of my phone.

"Hey Kenn. I uh.. I have something to tell you."

The only thoughts in my head are about how she is going to react. That, and the fact that in the course of less than 3 days, i have a signed dom.

Yeah this weekend was something else.

"Shoot. Oh! But first you have to tell me about the club! Was it great? Did you try the food? Did you meet any doms?! What hotel are you at? Should I pick you up?" her myriad of questions barely make it to my ears and I have to tell her to slow down.

"Kenn. Oh my god. Slow down. Yes, yes, yes, no hotel, no." I list off all the answers to her questions.

"What do you mean your not at a hotel? Did you get kidnapped? Oh my god Owen are you ok?!"

I cant help but laugh.

"Kennedy im fine, you dont need to worry. I was trying to tell you that i..." I pause, nervous about her reaction. Shes been my best friend since middle school, and i dont want her to get too protective of me.

I take a deep breath and explain what happened over the weekend. Leaving out some... obvious parts.

"So that's what happened. Thera is actually taking me on some errands today, and then she's gonna drop me off back at our place so I can get my stuff."

There was silence over the speaker.

Hesitantly, i ask if she's still there.

"Kenn?"

"Owen.... Are you sure this is a good idea? This is a little fast for this type of thing isn't it?"

A weight settled in my chest.

"I mean, yeah. It is. But... i dont know. It just feels...." I trail off, letting my words hang in the air.

"It feels right, Kenn. It really does. And I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't think so."

I sit in more silence, impatiently waiting for her answer. Anxiety consumes me.

"Ok. As long as your safe y'know? Make sure she isn't some crazy, psycho killer or anything." A sigh of relief leaves me.

"And you still have to visit me."

"Duh" I roll my eyes at her comment.

We talk for a few more minutes and then Kennedy hangs up because her shift is starting soon.

As i put my phone back on the bedside table, i cant help but let a grin overtake my face.

I am really happy I came to the club.

Hi everyone! I tried to get this chapter out last week but there were some issues, so better late than never right?

I am sorry to say that I can't be consistent again at the moment, but i will try harder to get some more chapters out.
It's going to be a little harder because the next chapters are more important, but i will try.
