Ok so really quickly,

Holy shit.

When I last checked on this story, it was at like 100 reads, now it's nearing 3k?!

Jesus fucking Christ thank you all so much for reading!!

(We're also not gonna talk about how long I've been missing ok I've been busy and basically forgot and then had writers block and I'm really really sorry but I'll try to make up for it ok? Ok.)

Thera's POV

I had to resist grabbing his arm to pull him back on the bed and help him myself.

God. He's just so gorgeous when he's desperate.

We lay here now, in my bed, encased in pillows on all sides and blankets thrown around.

I couldn't possibly ever regret having him move in with me. Between having him at my disposal at all times and hearing tiny snorts come from his sleeping figure wrapped around me, I was simply enraptured.

Pulling the hair from his eyes with brisk fingers, he makes a final snort and opens his eyes.

"Mmmmm~," he shifts his body towards me, moving to wrap his arms around my hips and bury his face in my stomach.

He props his head, and looks up at me with big beautiful eyes.

"Morning Momma."

I smile sweetly and continue carding my hands through his hair.

Faintly, I can hear rain pattering against the window on the far side of the room and I turn to look.

(If there wasn't a window before, there is now. Shush.)

Just as big, grey, lopsided clouds clouds are rolling in for what looks like miles, thunder sounds and Owen turns to look out the window just as I had, resting his head back onto my stomach.

Oh, how wonderful this is.

I finish stirring the hot chocolate and bring the large mugs over to the living room.

I hand Owen his and sit opposite to him on the couch. I stretch my legs out onto his lap and he rests his arm on top of them.

Taking a sip of the warm drink, I relax into the couch and focus my attention onto the beautiful boy in-front of me.

The way his hair is messy with rather... restless... sleep, how he seems to stare off at the rain like I do.

When a big crack of thunder sounds, he startles slightly; eyes wide and searching.

I set my mug down on the coffee table and take his out of his hands to do the same.

Eyes still focused on the living room window, he starts muttering.

"I always loved rain, but I never liked storms."

I remove my legs and sit up, scooting to pull him towards me.

Forcing him to lay onto me, he keeps with his babbling while I hug him into my chest.

"When it's far enough away it's fine- actually sometimes it's even comforting- but those big ones-"

Another boom of thunder sounds.

"Like those, those ones, they scare me."

I look down at him, cuddled into my chest, and stop my rhythmic rubbing on his back to pull a blanket from behind the couch.

Draping the blanket over us, I continue back with my affectionate motions.

He seems to sink closer into me, melding himself into my body.

I'd never thought I'd be so happy to have another person here again.

~618 Words~

Okok. I know it's short but idk it's been raining here and all I could think about was a comfort scene. Leave me alone.

I think in the next chapter I'm gonna try to pick up the plot again (not that it really has one).

Anyway, hope y'all enjoyed! Please vote and comment if you did!!

Thanks so much!
XOXO
