Regan Grimes

Warning: There's some bleeding going on in this chapter.

Getting up and walking was hard for Rick since he was in pain but Dr. Carson gave Rick some pain medicine to help and Negan helped Rick to the bathroom. Rick would walk slowly and hold onto Negan.

Rick spent the morning watching TV. One of the nurses brought him oatmeal and jello but Rick only ate the jello.

Dr. Carson came in and told Rick it would be a good idea if he took a bath. Rick really didn't want to but he decided he would take one when Glenn and Daryl arrive because he needs someone to look after Regan while Negan helps him shower. Plus it will be a good bonding time for Regan, Glenn, and Daryl. Glenn and Daryl are showing up in a few hours.

Rick tried to get Regan to latch onto his nipple but she wouldn't take it so he had to feed her by the bottle which he didn't want to. Negan took lots of pictures of Regan. He posted her all over Instagram.

One of the nurses helped Rick with Regan. The nurse helped Regan latch onto Rick and after several more tries... She finally latched on. Rick is thankful for that. Negan took a picture of Regan feeding. Rick said no to the picture but Negan still took the picture.

"I feel so gross", Rick replied.

"Why?", Negan asked.

"I'm soaked with blood down there".

"Did he say when the bleeding would stop?", Negan asked.

"In about a week he said", Rick answered.

Negan just nodded. "Want me to put her in the crib so you can change?".

"Yeah", Rick nodded.

Negan put sleeping Regan in the crib and helped Rick to the bathroom. Rick was so thankful to have Negan. Negan helped with so many things.

Rick took a nap before his friends showed up.

Glenn and Daryl showed up:

"How's it feel to be new parents", Glenn asked as he held  Regan and looked her in the eyes.

"Amazing", Rick added.

"Glenn how about we get ourselves one of these", Daryl purred into Glenn's ear.

Glenn chuckled. "I would love that".

"Aren't you guys cute", Negan said with a smile.

"We are very cute", Glenn added.

"But Regan is cuter!", Rick grinned.

"Do you guys mind watching Regan while I help Rick shower?", Negan asked.

"We don't mind at all", Glenn said.

"Not at all. This just means we get to spend more time with Regan", Daryl replied as he grabbed Regans' small hand.

Glenn and Daryl couldn't stop telling Regan how beautiful and cute she was.

Negan helped Rick to the bathroom. Rick sat down on the shower bench and said:", honestly I don't want to shower".

"I know baby but you have to. You are dirty but this won't take long".

"I don't want you to see all the blood coming out of me. It's so gross", Rick said in a disgusted tone.

"Rick honey, that won't bother me. Not one bit. I just want to help my husband get cleaned and that's it".

Rick just nodded. Negan helps Rick out of his clothes and helped him shower. Negan had to help Rick stand on his own. Rick had an arm around Negan. Rick could see the blood coming down his leg and looked away. He didn't want to see it. Negan washed Rick's hair and helped Rick wash his body with a soapy towel. After the shower, Negan helped dry Rick off and helped Rick into clean clothes.

"Can't wait to get back into the bed".

"I know you can't darling."

"Thank you Negan, couldn't have done this without you. You're amazing. You know that right?".

"You're the amazing one, Rick. Still, can't believe you pushed a baby out of you."

That response made Rick chuckle.

"Aww there's that pretty smile of yours. So beautiful ".

"Oh stop Negan".

"I will never stop, come on let's get you to the bed so I can finish drying your hair and comb your hair nicely."

Rick smiled a bit.

Negan helped Rick back to the bed and put the covers on Rick. Negan dried Rick's hair with a towel so it wouldn't be so wet and then combed his hair nicely.

Rick and Negan watched as Glenn and Daryl talked fondly of their daughter. They stayed for a few hours. Then Regan started crying and Rick started feeding her and that's when their friends left. Rick was glad Regan latched onto his nipple easily. Once she was done feeding he cuddled and held her close. Rick scooted over on the hospital bed so Negan could lay next to Rick. They were so tired and ended up falling asleep. They woke up to Regan crying and Negan took care of her.

2 days later, Rick could stand on his own and could walk but slowly. Dr. Carson told them they could go home today. So Negan packed everything together and he took all the stuff to the car. He came back inside. When he came back into the room, Rick was already in the wheelchair with Regan in his arms. Negan wheeled Rick to the car. He put Regan in her car seat and buckled her up. Next, he helped Rick get into the back seat. Rick wanted to sit in the back seat in case Regan cried and needed him. Rick put his seatbelt on. Negan got into the passenger side and drove home. Regan and Rick were asleep the entire ride.

Once inside the house, Negan helped Rick up the stairs. Negan was carrying Regan up the stairs in her car seat with one arm and with the other arm he was helping his dear husband. Once in their bedroom, Rick got into bed and asked Negan to bring Regan to him. Negan carefully took Regan out of her car seat and gave her to Rick. Rick looked at her and smiled. He was never going to let her go. He was going to protect her at all costs. He loved her so much and so did Negan.

Negan got everything out of the car and washed some clothes. He made Rick spaghetti and brought his food up to him, so Rick could eat in bed. They ended up watching a movie together.

"I want her to stay a baby forever", Rick said looking at his daughter.

"Me too, but I also want to watch her grow", Negan replied.

"Same", Rick said looking up at his husband.

Negan placed a kiss on Rick's forehead. "Love you, Rick".

"Love you more Negan".
